PFLAG Somerset KY This is the Somerset, Kentucky chapter of PFLAG. PFLAG provides support, education, and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community.

We serve the Lake Cumberland region, providing resources, meetings, & events. For more information please visit: pflagsomerset.org. PFLAG Mission Statement: Our mission is to build on a foundation of loving families united with LGBTQ people and allies who support one another, and to educate ourselves and our communities to speak up as advocates until all hearts and minds respect, value and affirm LGBTQ people.

Happy . Pride is rooted in protest, solidarity, and the belief that everyone deserves to live free from fear, harm, and discrimination.

My mother, Coretta Scott King, carried that commitment forward, ensuring LGBTQ+ voices were included during the 20th anniversary of the March on Washington and speaking at Atlanta Pride in 1996

Pride is also a time to uplift LGBTQ+ people of color whose voices, leadership, and courage have too often carried this movement forward without enough recognition.
