CALLING ALL YOUTH!!!

Are you concerned about climate change and how it is impacting your community? Are you 15-25 years old? Washington workers and families know the impacts of the climate crisis all too well: out-of-control wildfires, devastating floods, unrelenting heatwaves. We are all impacted by climate change.

The Washington Bus Education Fund and 350 Seattle invites you to the, “Make Polluters Pay Youth Climate Listening Session”! We’re hosting this listening session to hear the lived experiences of youth in our communities, to collaborate on a law that requires the largest fossil fuel companies pay their fair share for the climate damages they’ve caused across our state, and discuss how we build climate resiliency throughout our communities.

Make Polluters Pay is a national campaign working to build durable movement infrastructure that can continue to fight the fossil fuel industry and lead in the transition to clean energy—at both the local and state levels. We all deserve to live in a clean, healthy and safe environment. To learn more about the campaign visit: https://www.makepolluterspaywa.org/

Join us Thursday, August 27th, 2026 from 4pm-6pm at The Washington Bus Office: 1801 12th Ave Ste A, Seattle, WA 98122.

🚌 Back to school means back to campus organizing! 🗳️✨
Class is coming back in session, and young Washingtonians are ready to organize, register their peers to vote, and build real political power.

While funding for youth civic work is tight across the board, we know that resourced students transform our democracy. Help us fund student leadership, organizer stipends, and outreach statewide:

For the last few months, we’ve been cooking up something hot…a candidate forum for those who like their local politics with a bit of spice.

With the primaries nearing and election season in full swing, we are so excited to invite you to join worker-owned news outlet RANGE Media and Washington’s premier youth-led civic engagement organization The Washington Bus Education Fund onstage for a candidate forum unlike any other; think Hot Ones meets Survivor meets local issues.

On Thursday, July 30 from 6 to 9 pm, we’ll be hosting Candidate Survivor: Spokane’s Spiciest Candidate Forum at the Overbluff Cellars in the Washington Cracker Building, and we would be honored to have you join us to watch as we put candidates running for Congressional District 5, State Legislative District 3 and State Legislative District 6 through the ringer.

The evening will begin at 6pm with candidates from the 6th Legislative district, followed by candidates from the 3rd Legislative district at 7 pm, and finally, candidates running for the 5th Congressional District at 8 pm. They’ll join our reporter onstage and go head-to-head with their district opponent, eating spicier food and answering spicier questions about their campaigns and their big plans for our region.

Questions? Shoot us an email at [email protected]! We look forward to getting spicy with you.

Tatiana Brown is the Co-Chair of Washington State’s Environmental Justice Council and a Collaborative Governance Specialist. Brown is a consummate political analyst with clear environmental bonafides. As a young organizer, policy expert, and experienced implementor of policy and regulations, she is our pick to shift the 37th to the progressive left.

Brown is running against an AI Incumbent/Data Center Democrat who has taken thousands in corporate PAC donations. She has taken zero dollars from corporate PACs, and is running a grassroots campaign for an open senate seat. Brown is an insurgent candidate who understands that building power goes beyond just voting good policy. Let’s not settle for what is familiar—let’s dare to choose better. Vote Brown.

Hannah Sabio-Howell is a labor leader, biker, renter, and transit rider who has organized around some of the largest wins for workers in Washington State. As a former Communications Director for Working Washington and Communications Specialist for the State Senate Democrats, we know she has the skills and the lived experience to thrive as our senator for the 43rd.

Sabio-Howell is running against a Moderate Corporate Democrat who has taken thousands in corporate PAC donations. She, on the other hand, has taken no such donations and is running a people-powered challenge for the incumbent’s senate seat. Sabio-Howell is one of our own, and comes directly from the lived experiences that we desperately need represented in Olympia. Power unchallenged is power conceded. Vote Sabio-Howell.
