Founded in 2003 by a group of innovative graduates of the University of Washington's Professional Artist Training Program, Washington Ensemble Theatre became a birthplace of fearless creative expression. Today, The Ensemble is committed to maintaining an environment wherein its members, as well as artists from the community, are challenged to grow through its work as an ensemble. We intend for our theatre to be a physical and creative intersection for community and art in Seattle, and we hope to expand our contemporary audience, by fostering a love of theatre’s humanity, utility, and vitality.

It’s Educator Night at BLOOD/SUCKER! Tonight’s performance is dedicated to all of the adults that work in our schools. What teachers and school faculty have had an impact on your life? What about them -- their class, their personality, the guidance they gave you -- made a difference?

Plus: it's dress-like-a-teacher night! Honor your favorite educator with a closet cosplay or dress for the subject you’d most want to teach.

EXCERPT: “Anamaria [Guerzon]’s script is alive, pulsing with the horrors of the American public school system as well as the hate and fear rampant in our country,” [director Sophia] Franzella told The Ticket. “This production will be fast, scary and visceral. It is a warning to change our ways before it’s too late. We watch characters fight for their culture, fight for their freedoms and fight both inner and outer demons.”

Thanks for the hot hot press The Ticket!! 🦇😱🩸
