HSDC is excited to announce that our Holiday Bazaar is BACK for another year!

We're looking forward to bringing our Deaf community together once again to celebrate creativity, support local artists, and enjoy the holiday season.

We have some exciting news to share!

Vendor registration is now officially open to the public through November 2nd!

Are you an artist? Do you create jewelry, clothing, or run a small business? We'd love to have you join us!
Whether you're a returning vendor or joining us for the first time, everyone is welcome to apply. Best of all, the event is free to attend, and vendor registration is completely free!

Mark your calendars!

Saturday, November 7th, from 10 AM to 4 PM, for an all-day event at HSDC in Seattle.

It’s officially fall! Pumpkins, apple c***r, Halloween candy, and all the spooky fun are here!

The Parent Infant Program (PIP) team—Saida Mendoza, Talitha Asteria, Summer Webster, and Jessica Kiely—along with Allie Rice, HSDC Executive Director, are enjoying the fall season at Spooner Farms in Puyallup with PIP families and their little ones.

It’s a wonderful day filled with family, fun, and plenty of fall spirit!

The last weekend of September was the perfect way to wrap up Deaf Awareness Month!

From Deaf & Hard of Hearing Community Night at the Seattle Mariners, to watching Deaf author Sara Nović share her writing journey at The Seattle Public Library, to Puget Sound Association of the Deaf's 125th Celebration, it was a weekend full of community, connection, and pride.

Even though it's now October, we're still showing up for the Deaf community every day.

How you can celebrate? By attending community events, supporting Deaf education, Deaf-owned businesses and organizations, and Deaf creators.

There are still plenty of opportunities to get involved:

Please join us on Sunday, Sept 27th for an in-person interview with Sara Nović, the author of "True Biz," the Seattle Reads 2026 selection, and "Mother Tongue." This is a collaborative effort between Seattle Public Library, Deaf Spotlight, HSDC and WA HLAA.

Although everyone is welcome, this is an event designed primarily for the Deaf community members and will be presented in ASL. Thank you for your understanding in advance!
