Don't forget! Our Community Meet & Greet is happening this Saturday, August 29, from 12–2 PM at Lincoln Park, Shelter #4! ☀️

We'll have lunch, community connection, and a chance to meet HSDC's new Executive Director, Allie Rice. Lunch includes deli sandwiches (with vegan and gluten-free options), chips, drinks, and cookies from HelloRobin! 🍪

Seattle Reads: Sara Nović Discusses MOTHER TONGUE

Please join us on Sunday, Sept 27th for an in-person interview with Sara Nović, the author of "True Biz," the Seattle Reads 2026 selection, and "Mother Tongue." This is a collaborative effort between Seattle Public Library, Deaf Spotlight, HSDC and WA HLAA.

Although everyone is welcome, this is an event designed primarily for the Deaf community members and will be presented in ASL. Thank you for your understanding in advance!

When: Sunday, Sept 27 from 11 am to 2 pm

The annual Summer Social, hosted by the The DeafBlind Service Center (DBSC) and Washington State DeafBlind Citizens (WSDBC), took place last Saturday, August 8, at Magnuson Park! 🌳

HSDC’s Executive Director, Allie Rice, had a wonderful time connecting with members of the DeafBlind community and catching up with some amazing community leaders, including:
