Seattle Men's Chorus Founded in 1979, Seattle Men's Chorus is one of the largest LGBTQ and ally-identified choruses.

Founded in 1979, Seattle Men's Chorus has grown to become an internationally-respected music organization and one of the world's largest LGBTQ Men's Choruses with over 360 members. SMC has toured the globe with appearances in Germany, Australia, England, Spain, New Zealand, The Netherlands, and Canada. The Chorus has also performed at famed venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Westminster Hall in London. Music works have been commissioned from such composers as John Corigliano (Grammy Award, 1997), Gian Carlo Menotti, Robert Moran, and Conrad Susa. We have had the great fortune of performing with stars of stage and screen including Debbie Reynolds, Harvey Fierstein, Megan Mullally, Rosemary Clooney, Kristin Chenoweth, Megan Hilty, and Leslie Jordan.

Haul out the merry! Tickets on sale now for Prance & Be Merry! 🌲

The Seattle Men’s Chorus is the PNW’s happiest holiday tradition: festive favorites, Christmas comedy, dancing, prancing, and the gayest sing-along in town! Songs include Sparklejollytwinklejingley from Elf, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and classics Oh Come All Ye Faithful and Deck the Halls, along with our twist on We Three Kings.

“Generations & Community”: Students reflect on what they can learn from LGBTQ+ people who came before them and how their generation can carry the work of acceptance and belonging forward.

empower (education + music = power) brings Seattle Men’s Chorus into middle and high schools across the Pacific Northwest for interactive programs that combine music, personal stories, and student conversations. The program gives students tools and the courage to stand up for their LGBTQ+ classmates—and for themselves.

💜 This , standing up against bullying means more than wearing purple. It means showing LGBTQIA+ youth that they are seen, supported, and never alone.

In this clip from “Coping 101,” the student-led podcast from DANCE 89.5, high school students explore why bullying persists and what we can do to change it. Co-produced with Seattle Men’s Chorus, the conversation reminds us that allyship isn't always about grand gestures. Sometimes, a kind word, speaking up, or making someone feel accepted can make all the difference.

Every young person deserves to feel safe being themselves. Let's keep listening to young people, challenging bullying, and building communities where everyone belongs.

Every young person deserves to feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves. We can all play a part in creating schools and communities where LGBTQ+ young people know they belong—and know they have people in their corner. 🏳️‍🌈

Seattle takes its name from Chief Si’ahl, a Duwamish and Suquamish leader. His name reminds us that the history of this place began long before the city—and that Indigenous communities continue to thrive here today.
