The 2026 Legislative Session has officially come to a close! This was certainly a challenging year with many highs and lows, but together we made some real progress for WA kids and families, like passage of the Millionaires Tax and the WA Thriving Strategic Plan.

Thank you to all the lawmakers who worked through 25 hours of floor debate to pass the ! Revenue from this bill will help fund early learning, expand the Working Families Tax Credit, and provide sales tax exemptions for essential items for kids and families. Next, on to the Senate!

The Millionaires Tax has been pulled to the House floor for a vote! And a proposed floor amendment would direct 5% of annual revenue from the tax to go directly into the Fair Start for Kids Account to support early learning and child care!
