Performing Aerial Cube in SANCA’s The Pride Show 2026 | Worldwide Pride on June 12 & 13!

“I have been performing professionally for over 20 years in aerial, dance, and theatre. I believe movement is a powerful way to express thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to put into exact words. It has a way of cutting through a lot of the noise we have in our heads and allows us to experience ideas and perspectives on a different level. In creating pieces, I always start with "how do I want to tell this story? How does it make me feel?" Once that piece is put on the stage, I invite the audience to interpret it and take from it what they need.”

SANCA is offering an extensive day camp program at Emerald City Trapeze Arts for children ages 6 to 8! The core of Circus Exploration Camp is to invite children to the magical world of circus, without the pressures of taking their skills to the stage. Circus Exploration Camp allows students to develop physical skills, build confidence, explore their own uniqueness, and expand their creative capabilities.

We will explore various Aerial Arts (Fabric, Rope and Lyra), experience the exhilaration of Flying Trapeze, and develop ground and balance skills. This camp is a great fit for budding circus artists as well as experienced young circus artists hoping to deepen their general circus practice. Each week will feature a casual demonstration on Friday that parents are welcome to attend!

Performing Flying Trapeze in SANCA’s Annual Show on June 12 & 13!

“I found circus and flying trapeze as an adult and it has changed my world! I started as a student and slowly found my way into a coaching role. I am still relatively new to performing, but absolutely love being able to share my passion for circus with an audience!

Circus is such a fun way to move your body in ways never imagined! It’s accessible for all body types and everyone can feel successful. I always continue to be inspired by other coaches, performed and students surrounding me both near and far!”

Why should people attend?
“Pride is a reason to celebrate yourself and your community! This will be an upbeat, fun show allowing performers to be their true selves and represent their community on stage! Who doesn’t love rainbows and sparkles!”

Artist Highlight: Oliver Layher + Cheya Potter
Performing Hand to Hand in SANCA’s Annual Pride Show on June 12 & 13!

“Hailing from St. Louis, MO, Oliver Layher is a multidisciplinary circus artist specializing in hand to hand. He began his circus journey at Circus Harmony at the age of 9, performing hundreds of shows in St. Louis and around the United States. After graduating high school, he continued his circus education at the National Circus School in Montreal, Canada, where he graduated in 2022. His performing journey has brought him all over the country, Europe, Australia, and even international waters. In addition to his circus artistry, Oliver enjoys playing music, particularly piano and violin, and also sings in a choir.

Cheya Potter, originally from Seattle, WA, is a professional circus artist with a specialty in Chinese Pole and Partner Acrobatics. She started her circus journey at the age of twelve in the world of youth circus. By the time she was in high school Cheya had dived head over heels into her love for circus and eventually found her way to Circus Smirkus Big Top Tour. Knowing she wanted to pursue a career in circus arts, Cheya attended Necca’s Protrack Program graduating in 2019. Since graduating she has performed all over the world and worked with companies including Cirque du Soleil and Seven Fingers. Beyond Chinese Pole, Cheya has extensive performance experience in acrobatic and aerial disciplines. She also loves creating and working with other people.”

Are you ready to perform? We are excited to announce the 2026 Sans Solo Trois Cabaret Virtual Audition!

We are looking for aerial and ground acts. Each act must have at least two performers and require minimal tech elements.

Now entering its third year, Sans Solo continues to rebel against the domination of solo circus acts by celebrating what happens when artists come together—duos, trios, and full-scale group pieces that blend strength, timing, trust, and a healthy dose of joyful chaos. This year, the cabaret will coincide with the Emerald City Acro Intensive -- a weeklong partner and group acrobatics program.
