Savannah Navy League is focused on supporting our local Sea Service members (Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine) and making the public aware of all the important things these men and women do. We help support various activities for our local Sea Service members, recognizing outstanding Sea Service personnel at monthly, quarterly, and yearly ceremonies. We have adopted several ships an

d units, including the USS ALASKA (SSBN 732) a nuclear ballistic missile submarine based in Kings Bay, GA, three US Coast Guard units in Savannah, GA, and one Coast Guard Unit at Kings Bay, GA We also support three Savannah area High School NJROTC programs and the Savannah State University NROTC Unit, which provide young people with life skills as well as training that will help if they pursue a career in the US military. Our monthly meetings are an opportunity to hear presentations about our armed forces, mix and mingle with service members, and learn more about what our nation's Sea Services are doing. Citizens - no prior military service is required.

MK2 Evan J. Woodward, USCG, from the CGC SEA DEVIL(WPB-87368) was the selected Enlisted Person of the Quarter for USCG MFPU KB for the period ending 30 June 2026. Savannah Navy Leaguer Bob Gephart presented a Savannah Navy League EPOQ Award Certificate, a gift card, and a "World Famous" SNL Coffee Mug to MK2 Woodward.
