The Mu Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., the Savannah Uplift, and Education Foundation extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended our Centennial Gala on June 13, 2026, at the Savannah Convention Center.

This historic event celebrated 100 years of service by the Mu Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. We appreciate all who joined us in honoring this important milestone and helping make the evening a great success.

The men of the Mu Phi Chapter proudly received a proclamation from the Chatham County Board of Commissioners recognizing 100 years of dedicated service to the Savannah community and surrounding areas.

Chartered on April 7, 1926, by 19 visionary charter members, the Mu Phi Chapter has built a century-long legacy rooted in leadership, scholarship, brotherhood, and community service.

We honor the foundation laid by our charter members and remain committed to continuing their vision of excellence for generations to come.

The Brothers of Mu Phi Chapter enjoyed “Tea Time” with the Ques at Ashford Tea Company hosted by owner and tea sommelier, Mr. Wayne Ashford.

The Brothers sampled an array of teas including Earl Grey, Infused Mango, and Ashford’s Signature Table Wine Tea.

During the insightful discussion, which centered around the origin and health benefits of tea and living a healthy lifestyle, the Brothers not only increased their knowledge of tea, but also received invaluable information about physical and mental health wellness.

Over time, Ashford learned there is more to tea than it being a “sweet drink.” He explored various loose teas, including where they originated, how they were cultivated, their health benefits, and ways to brew them.

“I was passionate about tea but never imagined it would be something I would live off of,” Ashford explained. In addition to his passion for tea producing successful businesses, it has allowed him to educate others about the benefits of tea especially those whose culture does not typically include tea.

The Brothers of Mu Phi Chapter are extremely grateful to Wayne Ashford of Ashford Tea Company for hosting Teatime with the Ques.

For over 100 years, we have served our community by providing scholarships, in kind donations, and putting our gloves on in labor for agencies that request our support.
