If the saying that a single picture is worth 1000 words and I know that a strong argument could be made that I have lived five years worth of life in the two weeks it’s been since we posted (YIKES, why does that make me feel worried or like I’ve failed in some way) then what is a person to say to go with just a few, no where near all the photographs that tell the tale of the living and serving happening both inside and outside our walls! The truth is, I’m speechless!

So for the millionth and the first time, I’m leaning into worship and the source of grace and inspiration that makes all things possible

Life sure gets busy and can you believe that once again summer is here??

But a few things I know
-no matter the season “What are we gonna eat?” is a question that rings through every season, every household, every mind and heart whether you’re planning a lunch, needing a family dinner, or putting together anything large or small where an abundant table is needed!
-every meal you trust us with means more impact and good works in this community we all love

We’re so thankful for every table we get to touch! And no matter what you have going on, we would like to be part of your table!

Sometimes I look at our photos in absolute wonder STILL realizing that if a stranger found my phone they would wonder what sort of random thing they had come across. But five years later when you add it all up and run it through the filter of the very beautiful and in some ways very complex city of Savannah it becomes easier to embrace and trust the Lord with every piece of our journey that proves over and over that time sure does fly but the grace of God is abundant!

We are great grateful for every meal we get to make for all of you!
We’re grateful for every relationship that grows deeper as time goes on!
We are grateful for every life we get to touch, for every patient hand we get to hold in comfort and hope! And above all we’re grateful for you and that this is home!

Some people say they “back the blue” and that can come across as being said with a clenched fist and an iron will seeking judgment!

At The Dive backing the blue means we open our arms wide. We show up beside them—in the field, in hospitals, and in our own building-where the door is always open and we are always glad to see them. It means we share whatever we have if there’s even the slightest chance it makes a positive difference in this community we love and in their lives that we cherish!

And here in Chatham County, it’s not a one-sided relationship!

The men and women we call colleagues and friends reach right back—encouraging the work, strengthening the mission, and teaching us skills we hope we never have to use, but would be foolish not to have.

Today was another step in practicing the call to good stewardship and the gorgeous art of relationship building.

We were honored to have Christ Church Anglican staff trained in emergency response and first aid by our incredible first responders. Being prepared to serve in any situation IS good stewardship. Knowing what to do while praying you never have to do it is good preparation to serve in the hardest places and spaces.

We love our Chatham County first responders.
And we praise the Lord for a relationship that continues to grow deeper with time.

We are so thankful for all our clients! And to us, there is not one meal, one encounter, one relationship that we see as small! The sum total of life and anything large comes from the day in and day out seemingly small things!

Thank you Laura Franklin Ross! Thank you Optim Orthopedics! We’re so glad to be with you each and every time you need us!

We love you Savannah! When you give us your “small” we can keep giving our ALL on the spaces and places that make life worth living!

For the past couple of weeks, we’ve been running at a pace that’s hard to put into words.

Long days turned into longer nights.
Hospital rooms. Dirt roads. Phone calls that couldn’t wait.

Meals cooked, packed, and served with love in the middle of it all.

We’ve helped people find their way home.
We’ve stood in the gap for patients with no discharge plan.
We’ve fought for placements that didn’t seem possible and seen people surrender to the power of recovery through rehab

At the same time, we’ve been in our kitchen creating beautiful meals, serving incredible clients, and honoring every single moment with the same care and excellence.

That’s the part people don’t always see—
that our catering doesn’t compete with the mission… it fuels it.

We are tired but we are so, so grateful.

Grateful for every first responder who trusts us.
Grateful for every nurse and social worker who calls.
Grateful for every client who chooses us to cater their table, knowing it helps change someone else’s life.
Grateful for a community and partners that continue to show up alongside us.

This is what it looks like when a community comes together and refuses to look away.

We don’t take a single moment of it for granted and we praise the Lord for the grace to take every step of this beautiful journey at home in Savannah!

With full hearts and tired feet….we carry on!
