STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Meet Jadyn! 🐢💙

If you’ve spent any time on Wassaw, chances are you know Jadyn — 11 YEARS with Caretta and an absolute CRP staple!

Our Biologist Lead by night and UNC PhD candidate by day, Jadyn is a turtle parody songwriter, certified data-check enthusiast, turtle dance creator, mulefie photographer, and firm believer that YOU. DON’T. NEED. A. BALLOON. 🎈😂

She runs on Pocket Pizzas, good data, and more than a decade of sea turtle experience. Whether she’s leading a crew down the beach, keeping our data in check, conducting research, teaching us the turtle dance, or making us laugh at 3 a.m., we are incredibly lucky to have her on the CRP team.

We’re especially excited to see the results of her PhD research and all that her years of work with these incredible turtles will continue to teach us! 🐢🔬📊

Here’s to 11 years of turtles, long nights, turtle songs, mulefies, and countless Wassaw memories. We love you, Jadyn! 💙

Leave some love for Jadyn in the Comments!

✨ STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Meet Alden!

After six seasons, countless turtle tracks, and approximately 4,287 PB&Js later... Alden has become an irreplaceable part of the Caretta family!

Alden is a coyote tracking camera expert, champion island sleeper, late-night giggler, Wassaw Salon hair braider, and one of the most dedicated researchers you'll ever meet. Alden brings endless positivity, knowledge, and heart to everything she does. Whether she's collecting critical sea turtle data, troubleshooting field challenges, or keeping everyone's spirits high after a long night on the beach, she's always someone we can count on.

This past year, Alden presented posters at three conferences to share some of the incredible sea turtle data all of our staff and volunteers have been working on!

We're incredibly lucky to have Alden on our team, and we truly love working alongside her. Thank you for six amazing seasons of protecting Georgia's sea turtles—and for making every season a little more fun. 💚

Show Alden some love in the comments!
