The city of Savannah, GA, in the SE USA, is a beautiful historic city, filled with beautiful buildings, dating back to the late 18th century. Aside nationally recognized historic districts we have neighborhoods of low income folks trying to stay in their often old and wooden homes, in need of repair. Savannah is also a major destination for educational, service and religious based groups seeking service and learning opportunities. There is a minimal amount of low-cost, group housing in the surrounding area which are fully occupied. There is also a need for coordinating with groups who come to serve the needy.
