Congratulations to Lisa and Jon, winners of tonight’s Savannah Parrothead Club Halloween Costume Contest! Thanks to the Bookers and Sheelers who hosted the party.

They chose Jimmy Buffett’s classic “Fins” as their costume theme.
Frankly, we think they may have taken the whole “Can’t you feel ‘em circlin’, honey?” thing just a LITTLE too seriously! 😂

But hey, when it comes to winning a costume contest, sometimes you’ve gotta sacrifice a little flesh!

Our Tybee community is coming together to help one of our own, Chris Waugaman, and we hope you’ll join us! 🌴🦐

Chris, a 30-year Tybee resident, has suffered two strokes this year, leaving him unable to work and without the use of his left side. Let’s show him what our amazing island community is all about!

Come out to Jaycee Park for the Pigs vs. Bums Softball Game—featuring The Bums versus Tybee’s own Police Department!

Admission is free, and donations will be collected to benefit Mary’s Place, our local r**e crisis center. Pick up an event koozie and enjoy tasty hot dogs and cold sodas with your donation!

Many of you may have seen Dale’s recent post, and we wanted to share a little more about what he and Sherri have been through over the past week.

Last Wednesday, Dale suddenly became very ill at home. His fever spiked to 105°, he passed out, and Sherri called an ambulance. Dale had gone into septic shock and was rushed to Memorial, where he spent the next six days being treated for sepsis and fighting a serious infection.

We’re very happy to share that Dale has improved enough to come home and is continuing his recovery with oral medication.

Dale and Sherri have had a scary and difficult week, and we know they appreciate all the prayers, messages, and good wishes from their Parrot Head family.

We’re so glad you’re home, Dale. Keep getting stronger — the whole phlock is pulling for you! ❤️🦜

Freddie & the Fish Sticks (AKA the Savannah Parrothead Club All Star Band) wrapped up their LAST SHOW OF THE SEASON last night at North Beach Grill, and what a night it was! 🎸🎶

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to sing, dance, laugh and party with us! You all made the final show one to remember. ❤️

Thank you to Freddie & the Fish Sticks for another incredible season, North Beach Bar & Grill for always welcoming our crazy crew, and EVERYONE who continues to show up and support the Savannah Parrothead Club!🌴🍹🎶

Last night at North Beach Grill, the Savannah Parrot Head All-Star Band took a moment to remember our friend and fellow Parrot Head, Randy Chung of the A1A Parrot Head Club, who recently passed away.

We raised our voices and played Jimmy Buffett’s “Lovely Cruise” in his memory. ❤️🌴

Fair winds, Randy. Thanks for sharing part of the cruise with us. 🦜⛵

Here is a nice group photo with members of the Savannah Parrot Head Club having a big time at PHIP Meeting of the Minds at the Casa Marina in Key West a few years ago. Our Phriend Randy Chung from the A1A Beaches A1A Parrot Head Club is hanging out with us and can be seen on the far left sitting next to Sherry Abruzzio. Sadly, Randy sailed away last night September 10 at 8PM. He will be missed in a big way - despite having insurmountable health issues, he had the courage of a lion. Our Savannah PHC All Star Band will pay tribute to Randy tomorrow night with a special rendition of "Lovely Cruise" at the North Beach Bar & Grill on Tybee Island. "And those harbor lights, lord, they're coming into view. We'll bid our farewells much too soon".
