Paul told Timothy, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God…” (2 Tim. 3:16). Literally, this means all Scripture came from God’s breath. He breathed His life into His Word, and as we spend time feeding on His Word, we become inspired. This is the path we must choose. The more of the Word we take in, the more inspiration will come to teach us. The unction knows all things. It will inspire us to do God’s will, especially to let love rule our every decision, the recipe for life and the path to true prosperity.

Our nation stands at a crossroads: we can let evil prevail, or we can cling to the promise of an end-time revival He spoke of long ago. A secular, socialist movement (DSA) is seeking to undermine our Christian liberties and advance its agenda. We must pray for a mighty outpouring of God’s Spirit to revive His work in the midst of the years. God is calling His people to stand for righteousness and to believe for His Spirit to be poured out on all flesh. We cannot let the mission we have fall by the wayside or leave it for the next generation to pick up. We must see ourselves as those who have been “called to the kingdom for such a time as this!”

Solomon once said of man, “As he thinketh in his heart, so is he” (Pro. 23:7). What an interesting concept: the thoughts we hold in our hearts can shape who we become! The things we repeatedly ponder will eventually shape our character. The heart is the center of production—the field where our inner thoughts and disposition grow into words and actions. Nothing influences the shape of our lives more than choosing wisely what we think about. It may very well determine our end.

Living the overcomer’s life means learning to function from a position that acknowledges our victory has already been secured through the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. When He came up from the grave, He raised us up with Him and set us alongside Himself, “…far above all principalities, power, might, and dominion” (Eph. 1:21). The fact that we wrestle against these forces is not about trying to overcome on our own. It is about knowing the true riches of Christ’s triumph and recognizing that everything He did gave us the right to resist the enemy steadfastly in the faith (1 Pet. 5:8, 9).

Father, you said in your Word that you have written your laws in my heart and mind. I choose to lean on the Holy Spirit to help me follow your direction in my thinking. I see myself doing what you have said I should do, listening to your voice within, and making it a law in my mind. Preserve my mind so it remains sound, whole, and healthy for your glory. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

As believers, we must settle certain truths in our hearts forever. One of the first great truths is what Paul stated: “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things have passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Cor. 5:17). Becoming a new creature means our old self has been destroyed forever and a new self has come into existence in Christ Jesus. Everything we inherited in Adam is forever dead and gone, and now we must discover the mystery of this new birth.

Father, you made me into a new creature. That is who I am. Today, I purpose to live as my true new self. I shake off any remnants of the past. I embrace my new identity. I turn my eyes upward and look to see where my true help comes from. It comes from you, the maker of heaven and earth. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

These three things: God being for us, with us, and in us are monumental truths that help us stay on the victory side. All I can think about is how often in Scripture the Lord enables His people to prevail when the odds of winning seem so small. We have far more working for us, with us, and in us than what is against us or tries to stand in our way. We need to remind ourselves of this every day!
