WOW, Savannah! 💄🧪✨

This past Saturday, we had a FULL classroom at our STEM Glam Lab: Lip Gloss Edition at the Garden City Library! Every seat was filled as our future STEM leaders stepped into the role of cosmetic chemists for the day, learning about science, chemistry, and product development while creating their very own custom lip gloss.

Thank you to all of the parents and participants who helped make this event such a success. Seeing young minds explore STEM through creativity and hands-on learning is exactly what Operation One STEM at a Time is all about!

But the fun isn’t over yet! 🎉 We have another STEM Glam Lab this Saturday at the Garden City Library, and we’d love to see your child there.

Our Budding STEMs group from Myers Middle School had a phenomenal time at SCAD, where our girls explored not only creative careers but also innovative, STEM-related pathways that continue to expand their vision for the future.

Happy Women’s History Month!

Operation One STEM at a Time is always grateful to participate in the Society of Women Engineers - Savannah Coastal Empire’s 2026 Girls Engineer It Day! We had so much fun exploring cosmetic chemistry and making personalized lip gloss with the girls while introducing them to the science behind it! 💄

Operation One STEM at a Time was a part of a special Black History Month series, this event highlighted Black women sharing their STEM stories and journeys! Our Executive Director had a great time partnering with Live Oak Public Libraries, sharing her path in STEM and leading a fun, hands-on activity with the community.

Libraries are essential spaces for access, learning, and empowerment, and we’re proud to continue providing meaningful STEM programming that uplifts and inspires the next generation—one story and one activity at a time!
