Today, the Saratoga Senior Center was proud to host our World Elder Abuse Awareness Day program, bringing together local experts, community leaders, and the community for an important day of education, conversation, and prevention.

A heartfelt thank you to TKT Insurance for kicking off the morning with an informative presentation on protecting seniors from modern scams and fraud. We were also grateful to welcome Investigator Matt Wilson of the Saratoga Springs Police Department, who shared valuable insights on emerging scams and practical ways to stay informed and protected.

Thank you as well to Saratoga County District Attorney Brett Eby for his presentation on scam awareness and prevention, helping attendees better understand the threats facing older adults and the steps they can take to safeguard themselves and their finances.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended, asked thoughtful questions, shared experiences, and helped make today's conversations so meaningful. Awareness is one of the strongest tools we have in preventing elder abuse, exploitation, and fraud.

And, of course, a special thank you to 9 Miles East Farm for the beautiful breakfast and lunch spread that kept our guests fueled throughout the day. Your continued support of our community is greatly appreciated.

Together, we're helping older adults stay informed, protected, connected, and empowered. 💜

Congratulations to our Executive Director, Lois Celeste, on being named a 2026 Woman of Influence by Saratoga Saratoga TODAY Newspaper

If you've ever attended a program, found a friend at the Center, received support during a difficult time, or simply felt welcomed through our doors, you've experienced the impact of her work.

For more than 15 years, Lois has dedicated herself to creating a place where older adults can connect, find purpose, access support, and remain active members of our community. This recognition is a reflection of her leadership, determination, and unwavering commitment to the people we serve every day.
