🏳️‍🌈 This Pride Month, we celebrate a community where everyone belongs.

For many LGBTQ+ individuals, finding acceptance isn't always easy. LGBTQ+ youth are significantly more likely to experience homelessness than their peers, often due to family rejection, discrimination, or lack of support.

At Shelters of Saratoga, we believe everyone deserves a safe place to call home and the opportunity to thrive. This Pride Month, we reaffirm our commitment to providing shelter, support, and dignity to all members of our community.

❤️ Home should be a place where everyone belongs.

BEGINNING AGAIN: Meet Ivan

“I just wanted to escape.”

For Ivan, home was never a safe place. As a teenager, he ran toward the uncertainty of the streets because it felt safer than what he was leaving behind. Years later, after building a life, becoming a father, and mentoring young people as a Wilderness Survival Guide, addiction changed everything.

Ivan's story is about resilience, dignity, and what can happen when someone is finally given a safe place to begin again.

At Shelters of Saratoga, Ivan found structure, community, and hope.

His story will stay with you. ❤️
