Join Bikeatoga at the 57th Annual Elks Flag Day Parade on
Saturday, June 13th, 2026,
as we celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States! The parade steps off at 12:00 p.m. and travels down Broadway through downtown Saratoga Springs to Congress Park.

We'd love to have local families and kids ride with us! Decorate your bike, wear your Bikeatoga gear, and help us showcase the joy of cycling in our community. Every child who rides with us will receive a Flag Day pinwheel for their bike (and maybe a few parents too!).

Participants should plan to gather by 11:15 a.m. at our assigned staging area on North Broadway. We are still waiting for our final lineup location, so watch our Facebook and Instagram pages or sign up to receive email updates with parade details:

After the parade, the Saratoga Elks Lodge will host a community picnic and celebration of the Army's 250th Birthday. We hope you'll join us for this fun, family-friendly community event! 🚲🇺🇸

📢 Workshop Closure Notice

Bikeatoga will be closed to the public June 4–9 as we focus on catching up on repair bikes and preparing more bicycles for adoption.

🔧 Volunteer mechanics: the workshop will remain open, and we'd love your help tackling our repair backlog. If you can spare a few hours, please sign up for a shift!

🚲 If you've been notified that your bike repair is complete, you are still welcome to stop by and pick up your bike during this time. We will not be open for any other service.

Thank you for your patience and support as we work to get more bikes back on the road!

DO YOU KNOW whats in the final "Enhancing Union Avenue" plan?
Let's ask city hall for a public presentation and find out!

🚲 New crosswalks with ADA- compliant curb ramps at Clark, Court and Regent St.
🚲 Keep two car lanes in each direction, same as now!
🚲 Maintains parking on the street.
🚲 Bike lanes on each side of the street.

No Bike Lane on Henry Street: Yet another missed opportunity.

If you’ve been downtown during the last few days you likely saw that DPW is re-paving Henry Street. We think new pavement is great! When the job is done, though, what you’re not going to see is the bike lane that has been part of our Complete Streets plan for 8 years.
You’d think the time to consider whether to put in a new paint-only bike lane would be when you know the road is going to be repaved. According to city policy, that’s what’s supposed to happen. In 2020 the City Council adopted our Natural Resources Inventory plan, which explicitly recommends that the city “build Complete Streets planning into interdepartmental discussion before paving and striping each year.”
But that’s not what happened. Public Works did not share their paving plan with the Complete Streets Advisory Board and we’re told by Public Safety that they didn’t learn Henry would be repaved until a week ago – not enough time to get the simple survey they need to mark the new bike lane.
We wrote to the City Council this week to express our frustration and disappointment with the continuing inability of our city government to plan for new bike and pedestrian infrastructure in a professional, project management process.
You can read Bikeatoga’s letter to the City Council and our press release on the Bikeatoga website.

Henry Street is a short but critical segment of our Complete Streets network, connecting the Downtown Connector with Congress. It should not be particularly burdensome to add Complete Streets improvements to Henry St. later this year and we urge the City to do so.
Please let our City Council members know that you support the Henry Street bike lane!
