"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." -2 Tim 2:15 (KJV)

I always thought this verse was just about taking time to read the Bible and study the Word, but it's about much more than that. I believe that God is telling us to have a teachable spirit and to boldly seek Him, so that when we do read the Bible or pray, He will reveal His living truth to us, and like a fine blade, we can rightly divide it.

So, let us take every opportunity God provides us to study His truth, whether through His Word, a Sunday sermon, a Christian speaker, or just another believer. Let us study to show ourselves approved.

Let us always remember and never forget what took place on 9/11 twenty-five years ago. This day will forever be etched in our country's collective consciousness as a day of tragedy and loss, the likes of which we hope and pray will never be repeated.

Despite the attack on our nation, we continue to hold dear the vision of our founding fathers, that America remains a land of hope and freedom for all people seeking peace and prosperity.

We encourage all of our members to join us today and pray for those who may still grieve lost family and friends from that tragic event. We honor and celebrate the memory of those fallen heroes.
