Community Conversation — Happening Tonight!

Did you know that thousands of pounds of fresh fruit go unharvested each year right here in our community?

Through the Sunshine Community Harvest Suncoast Fruit Rescue Program, local fruit donations are shared with neighbors instead of going to waste.

If you have a fruit tree with extra bounty, we’ll help coordinate the harvest — and we come to you! 🌞

Do you have citrus, mango, avocado, loquat, or other fruit trees producing more than you can use?

The Sunshine Community Harvest Suncoast Fruit Rescue Program helps connect local fruit donors with volunteers who harvest and share fresh produce with neighbors.

Instead of letting extra fruit fall to the ground, you can help nourish our community — right from your own backyard.

Happy National Eat More Fruits & Vegetables Day!
Fresh produce fuels our community and thanks to our gleaning volunteers, more of it stays right here in the Suncoast instead of going to waste.

Today’s a perfect reminder to fill your plate with color, support local growers, and celebrate the fruits and veggies that keep our foodshed strong.

Happy UN World Bee Day!
Pollinators keep our foodshed alive — many of the fruits and veggies we eat depend on them. One simple way to help: plant flowers among your vegetables to give bees the habitat they need to thrive.

Small blooms, big impact!

Community happens when we show up for each other — in the fields, in the food system, and in every small act that keeps fresh food local.

To everyone who gleaned with us this season: thank you for your time, your effort, and your generosity. You helped feed neighbors, support farmers, and strengthen our Suncoast foodshed in a real, tangible way.

We’re grateful for every single one of you. 🌱💛
