Sarasota County Schools just passed a policy targeting student protests. 🚩

Policy 5.301 outlined when demonstrations could be restricted and when discipline could be applied if actions were considered disruptive.

Community members, students, and families showed up during agenda comment, stating that the policy’s vague wording could silence student expression and reshape school environments across the district.
