Everyone deserves to be seen, supported, and treated with dignity. 💛

Here in San Diego, many of our unhoused neighbors, students single parents, and struggling veterans just need a helping hand to get back on their feet.

That’s exactly what the Hugs & Bags movement is all about.

Every the last Saturday of the month, dozens of dedicated volunteers gather throughout San Diego to distribute warm meals, fresh clothes, hygiene products, and offer vital human connection—a literal hug to those who need it most.

Mental health doesn’t exist in a vacuum—it’s shaped by our environment, access to support, and daily realities.
Students today are navigating academic pressure, financial stress, and an always-on digital world.

At the same time, unhoused individuals face trauma, instability, and limited access to consistent care.

Different circumstances, but a shared truth: everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and supported.

Awareness isn’t just about conversation—it’s about action. That means:

• Expanding access to mental health resources in schools
• Supporting community programs for unhoused populations
• Reducing stigma so people feel safe asking for help
• Meeting people where they are, without judgment

Mental health care should never be a privilege.

It’s a basic part of human well-being.
If you’re in a position to help—advocate, volunteer, listen.

Small actions add up.

It’s Hugs and Bags — back, refreshed, and ready to spread more love! 💛

We’re the nonprofit that believes everyone deserves a little comfort, a warm hug (even if it’s metaphorical 😉), and a bag full of good vibes.

Whether it’s through community events, care packages, or just showing up — we’re here, we’re happy, and we’re all about helping others feel seen and supported.
