Had a blessed house meeting down in the SDSU area, at our friend Lauren’s place, where we joined in leading the worship, as well as prayed for one another which went pretty long into evening! Was a blessed time! 🙏🔥!

Yosemite SUP Adventure
This is a short video of our Stand Up Paddle adventure in Yosemite Valley: Going 5.25 Miles up river and against the current … whew that was a workout…and then coming back for a total of 10: 50 Miles RT. Got lots of great views of Yosemite on this excursion!

We are thankful to be celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary. The Lord has sustained and blessed us through the years by His grace, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

We are grateful to get up into the Sierra’s for a little time to celebrate. Was able to go to Yosemite, both the Valley, and Tuolumne Meadows, as well as a few other places in the Sierras on the way!

We did our longest stand-up paddle adventure yet in Yosemite Valley on the River there doing 10.50 Miles! Going first up stream against the current 5.25 Miles all the way from Cathedral Beach to the Curry Village/Housekeeping area and then back… for a total of 10.50 Miles …whew!! Going back with the current was a lot easier and faster 🤪!

We also did a 7.07 mile hike up in Tuolumne Meadows on the John Muir PCT Trail! As well as doing some Cross-Country Mountain Biking, and more Hiking, and SUPing, in other places in the Sierra’s as well! Such a blessed time!

Had a good sized family reunion with Mercedes side of the family … was fun seeing a lot of those faces that we haven’t seen in a while!

After hanging out in the blazing Inland OC sun for five hours and turning into a rock lobster 🦞 Mercedes and I went down to Newport afterwards to take a bike ride and cool off … somehow we ended up riding 35.55 Miles 😅… (not on electrics - but on those all human powered regular ole bikes) even though we were tired already from the heat … but… “can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”… yes…even when burnt to a crisp..haha 😁!!
We rode all the way to Surfside and back… was a nice ride in the cooler dusk—evening hours. Such a great ride because it’s on bike trails the whole way with ongoing views of the ocean and beach! It’s nice when you have those occasional sessions where once ya get going things just start clicking —by grace— 🚴‍♂️🚴 and you’re able to just somehow push on 🙏🕊️🔥✝️😎!

Happy 250th birthday to America!

Reflections on the Faith of the Pilgrims:
The Original Roots of America

The original Pilgrims who came were influenced by: the Reformation, seeking to worship freely, and spurred on by the Great Commission.

Puritan Preachers in England were emphasizing the Great Commission to take the Gospel out far and wide and they considered themselves a chosen people for that task according to Historian Sydney Ahlstrom.

Historian Kenneth Scott Latourette also points out how it was Martin Luther‘s teaching on the “Priesthood of all Believers” the ethic of seeing all as equals before God, that formed the roots of what would later become modern American democracy.

As they stepped ashore at Plymouth, the Pilgrims’ Compact written out on the Mayflower before they went ashore stated that they were taking on this endeavor “for the glory of God and the advancement of the Christian faith…”

According to the Plymouth Museum they were helped in their struggles in the new land by the Native People with whom they maintained good relations for over 80 years—even liberal NPR had a Native American expert on in the past who verified this fact.

These are the Christian roots of the Nation.

We got in some fun mountain biking trails together, as well as grabbing a bite to eat together afterwards with Patrick and Emily, for a little Father’s Day celebration! Was a fun time! Psalm 127:3!

Jesus Revolution Worship

Had a fun time down in San Diego having a little beach blast with some friends, having some s’mores around the fire and taking in the sunset!
The Holy Spirit fell while we were eating and it turned into a powerful ministry time 🕊️🔥🙏❤️!
