The Challenged Athletes Foundation® (CAF) is a world leader in helping people with physical challenges lead active, healthy lifestyles. CAF believes that participation in physical activity at any level increases self-esteem, encourages independence and enhances quality of life. Since 1994, more than $134 million has been raised and over 35,000 funding requests from people with physical challenges in all 50 states and dozens of countries have been satisfied. Additionally, CAF’s outreach efforts impact another 60,000 individuals each year. Whether it’s a $2,500 grant for a handcycle, helping underwrite a carbon fiber running foot not covered by insurance, or arranging enthusiastic encouragement from a mentor who has triumphed over a similar challenge, CAF’s mission is clear: give opportunities and support to those with the desire to live active, athletic lifestyles. From first strides to new breakthroughs, our Össur + CAF Running & Mobility Clinic in Washington D.C. built confidence and connection.

Grant recipient David Morgan received an Össur Flex Run sports prosthesis to support his goals of returning to outdoor activity and help him return to enjoy the outdoor activities that he loves with his son.

The 3rd annual CAF and EōS Fitness Spooky Spin + Freaky Dance Party brought athletes together at over 50 locations across the country for a high-energy G-fit event full of music and movement!

The event supported CAF by fundraising an incredible $31,189.11, empowering athletes with physical disabilities to stay active through sport.

“I play sports with my friends.” One simple sentence sums up the joy that a little girl feels after receiving a grant to make her dreams possible.

Stella’s becoming stronger, more independent, and more connected with her community. As her parents say: if she can see it, she can be it!

Swim, bike, run, REPEAT! 🏊🚴🏃

Athletes came together in beautiful New Paltz, NY, for a weekend of triathlon training with CAF and Raw Endurance Tri Camp! From sharpening swim, bike, and run skills to mastering transitions and building confidence, the weekend was all about learning, connecting, and growing stronger together.
