🎵🥁 Our Rhythm & Music Day brought Autism Tree families and National League Of Young Men, Inc. - NLYM mentors together for a day of creativity, music, and connection!

This weekend we explored creativity through music as mentor-mentee pairs built instruments, experimented with rhythms and beats, and made music together. From creating unique sounds to keeping the beat, it was great to see everyone learning, collaborating, and having fun throughout the day.

Thank you to all the Autism Tree families who joined us, and a huge shoutout to NLYM volunteer Jordan for leading this group and to the amazing NLYM mentors for supporting and making the day possible! 🎶✨

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome back a familiar face to the Autism Tree Intern Team: Brooke Stealey! 🎉

Many of you will remember Brooke from her work with us in the summer of 2024. Brooke’s journey with Autism Tree runs deep; she has been volunteering with our foundation since she was in the 7th grade as a member of the National Charity League (Del Sol Chapter) and a student at San Dieguito Academy.

Since we last saw her, Brooke has been busy tackling her next big adventure. She is officially wrapping up her freshman year at New York University (NYU), where she is majoring in Economics! 🏙️📈

We are so proud of everything she is accomplishing out East, but we are even more excited that she is bringing her passion, energy, and dedication back to Autism Tree this summer.

Thank you for your continued dedication to our mission, Brooke. We are so lucky to have you back in the office and out in the community.

Celebrating Our Partnership with NCL San Dieguito: A Huge Thank You to Rakhi and Sara Tailor ❤

Last week, our team had the wonderful opportunity to connect with Rakhi Tailor, our 2025-2026 NCL San Dieguito Liaison, and her daughter Sara, a Junior at Canyon Crest Academy. It was a beautiful evening dedicated to thanking them both for their profound impact on the AT community over the past year.

Rakhi has been an incredible advocate for our mission: acting as a reliable bridge to the NCL San Dieguito chapter, consistently supporting Autism Tree's programs, and serving as the catalyst behind a generous $1,000 donation from the Shah Foundation to AT’s 2025 Year End Campaign. Leadership clearly runs in the family, as Sara has become an integral part of our Spectrum Socials program, even leading a fantastic tennis clinic for our young autistic adults 🎾

We are also overjoyed to share that Rakhi enjoys her role so much that she will be returning as our NCL Liaison for the upcoming year to close out Sara's senior year!

🌟 Join us in welcoming our new intern, Iara! 🌟

We’re excited to welcome Iara Leon to the Autism Tree team! Iara is currently a student at San Diego State University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She is especially passionate about mental health, early childhood development, and therapeutic intervention, and hopes to pursue a future career as a Clinical Child Psychologist.

Iara is dedicated to creating safe, engaging, and inclusive environments where children feel valued and supported, and is excited to contribute to Autism Tree’s mission of empowering children and families.

We had such a fun time at our Autism Tree Adaptive Art Workshop! 🌈✨

We explored colorful sand art creations, decorating canvases with bright colors, unique designs, and lots of imagination. From getting creative with textures to sharing smiles and laughter, the room was filled with creativity, connection, and excitement. 🎨

Spectrum Socials got a little messy and a lot creative this morning 🌱🎨💚

We spent the day painting pots, planting flowers, and getting our hands dirty in the soil! From colorful creations to learning how to care for our plants, it was the perfect mix of creativity, sensory fun, and teamwork.

Today was such an incredible day at the Autism Tree office! We had the absolute pleasure of hosting the amazing members from Altrusa International of San Diego for their special volunteer project. 💙

A massive thank you to everyone who came out today and rolled up their sleeves to create 95 sensory bags for our families! These kits will make such a meaningful difference in providing comfort and regulation for the children in our community.

We also want to send another special shout-out to Sylvia Gallardo for helping bring this beautiful collaboration to life. We are so grateful for ALTRUSA San Diego's hands-on support today and can't wait for our next project together! ✨
