Christians, Catholics & anyone else:
The word 'Repent' in relation to sin (change of heart/turn away/stop sinning against God) is mentioned over 30 times in the Bible.

Many Christians & Catholics weren't taught that God wants you to, 'not just say once,' in a Salvation Prayer to Jesus, that you are sorry for the sins you committed - please forgive me of my sins, but God wants you to repent from sin (stop sinning against Him).

Some Christians & Catholics have said. "I prayed to Jesus & asked Him to forgive me of my sins. So, my past, present & future sins are covered by His grace. I do not need to ask Jesus to forgive me of my sins anymore because He already forgave me of any future sins that I will do."

Bible Romans 6:9-13 (Dead to Sin & Alive to Christ).
We are supposed to 'die to sin' &
not live in sin anymore, thus becoming 'Alive in Christ.'

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to
sin live any longer in it?

After you repented (stopped) from sinning & if you sin again, then repent again (change your heart/turn away/stop) sinning.

Bible 1 John 1:5
This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

To Christians & Catholics, before being 'Saved' by Jesus, you, like everyone else, were born in sin (Psalms 51:5) & lived in darkness/sin (Colossians 1:13-14) but as a follower of Jesus Christ, God expects you to live in the 'Light of Jesus' & not in the darkness (sin) that this world offers (lust, fornication, adultery, homos*xuality, cursing, drunkenness, violence etc. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11).

Ephesians 5:8
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.

John 8:12
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

So, do not watch TV programs, videos & movies, as well as listen to secular music that has darkness (sin), that this world offers (Wordly Living, lust, fornication, adultery, homos*xuality, cursing, drunkenness, violence etc.).
Instead read God's Word (Bible), pray (ask Jesus how you can be His Light to this dark world), put on Christian music & Praise God/Jesus.
Watch only TV programs, videos & movies that gives God/Jesus' Light to this dark world. As well as, listen to Christian music.
Live as a 'Light unto Jesus.'

God created heaven (Bible Genesis 1:1), so we need to abide by His ways to get there.
In order for God to allow someone into His Heaven, He says we must believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ (His Son), which includes the reason Jesus sacrificed His life on the cross & we must repent (turn away), stop sinning against God.

Bible John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (of sin).

'Perish' means in this verse that after death on earth God will send that person who is perishing to the Lake of Fire & Brimstone (hell, Revelation 21:6-8, the 2nd death) for eternity.

If you believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ & repent (turn away), stop sinning, then after death on earth you will live forever with God/Jesus in Heaven.

If after you repented (turned away), stopped sinning you happen to sin again (God/Jesus knows your every thought & motives) pray, say to Jesus that you are sorry for sinning again & ask for forgiveness. Then stop sinning against God.

John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We need to be cleansed (washed clean) by the forgiveness of God/Jesus to get rid of all unrighteousness (sin).

God is love (1 John 4:8), He created us (Genesis 1:26) & loves us. So we need to live according to His ways. 🙂
Because God hates sin (Proverbs 6:16-19), He said we need to live Holy, just as He is Holy (1Peter 1:15-16). That's why Jesus sacrificed His life on a cross, to shed His pure (spotless/sinless) blood to cover our sins. God's way for us to get into His Heaven is to believe in Jesus' crucifixion on the cross & the rest of the Gospel of Jesus Christ & to repent (turn away), stop sinning against God.

Do not water down what sin is.

But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.

You want God to allow you into heaven after you die but are separated from Him?

2 Chronicles 30:9b
For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn His face from you if you return to Him.

Matthew 3:8
Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance.

So repent (turn away/stop) sinning and turn to God/Jesus. Pray, ask Jesus to help you to stop sinning.

Bible Luke 13:3
Tell you, no; but unless you repent (from sin) you will all likewise perish (God will not allow you to live forever in heaven but He will send you to hell for eternity).
1 Corinthians 1:18
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being Saved (from being sent to hell) it is the power of God.
Romans 10:9
That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be Saved.

So, repent (stop) sinning & believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

God wants everyone to be 'In Christ.'
But not all Christians & Catholics are walking 'In Christ' because in order to be 'In Christ' you have to deny your fleshly (born in sin) ways, which leads to sin & live for Jesus Christ, which is the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
Apostle Paul says below, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who do not walk according to the flesh"
So, if you are living in the flesh (sinful living) there is condemnation from God.

Romans 8:1-2
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Below scripture, the love of God is not in the person who lives for the ways of the world (flesh/sin), which are lusts, drunkennes, adultery, fornication etc.
1 John 2:15
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father (God) is not in him.

Apostle Paul wrote:
Galatians 5;19-25:
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

To those that are living in the flesh (sin), repent (turn away/stop). Pray, ask Jesus to help you to stop living for the flesh (sin).
You need to stop doing the things that worldly people do by watching TV, movies & videos with lust, s*x, nudity, fornication, curse words, violence etc.
and listening to music & going to night clubs where there are lyrics of lust, fornication, cursing, violence etc.
Watching & listening to things of the flesh (sin) will lead you to living for the flesh (sin).
Instead, put on Christian music (Glorify God/Jesus) in your home & read/learn God's Word (Bible).

Bible John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father (God) except through Me."

Many people know the name of Jesus & that He sacrificed His life on a cross for the sins of the world.
But you have to believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Mark 1:15) & repent (turn away/stop) sinning against God.
Luke 13:3
(Jesus spoke)...but unless you repent you will all likewise perish (God will not allow you into His Heaven, instead God will send you to Hell for eternity).
To those that continue to sin, pray & ask Jesus to help you not give into the temptation to sin.
There are many sins mentioned in the Bible, I Corinthians 6:9-11 mentions some of them.
We must be 'Born Again.' We were all born into a sinful life (Romans 5:12 & Psalms 51:5)
Our second birth is a life unto God/Jesus.
God hates sin (Proverbs 6:16-19) & wants us to live a life without sinning. That's why we need to be 'Born Again,' to live a life without sin.
John 3:3
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (Heaven)."
