Some of what we’ve been up to this week!
• Our Elementary Academy got crafty and made these Jesus bracelets
• High School Academy attended a Youth & Young Adult revival service hosted by Greater Trinity Baptist Church
• Some of our staff attended the SD Barnabas Group Summit where Willie Briscoe and former HLA Graduate, Anjel, shared the mission & impact of HLA to local business owners & leaders

Who else feels like this is going to be a great week? 😎

Our week has started off strong with:
• Miss Angela sharing her testimony. Btw, what would your life look like without any fear?
• Celebrating one of our students’ birthdays and showering her with encouraging words
• Just 1 Conference hosted by The Rock Church. Our older students had a powerful time joining with youth around San Diego for worship & preachings

Miss Beverly, a friend of HLA, & her friends came and taught our students all about nutrition, eating tasty foods that nourish our body, and even sent each student with a dinner to take home!

Our amazing volunteer lead, Bridget, shared her testimony in Academy this week! We love showing our students what’s possible by surrounding them with positive role models and exposing them to powerful testimonies and life stories.

PRAYER ANSWERED:
A few weeks ago, a principal that we have a relationship with let us know that he noticed a Mother wheeling her baby in a broken stroller when dropping off her child at school. He asked if we had any resources to bless her…

We reached out to you, our wonderful HLA community, and you showed up! A generous supporter came through and covered the cost of the stroller we needed!

We gave the stroller to the principal and he sent us this text 🥹 (See last picture)

Thank you for making a tangible impact on a family’s life! This local Mom will forever remember seeing the Lord’s provision in her life.
