During our latest walkabout, we received a surprise visit from the team at IZOLA Bakery who treated attendees to complimentary goodie bags. We also connected with the lead construction team behind East Village Green, giving community members an opportunity to learn more about the future park. 🌳

Together, we identified hotspot areas to focus on to create a cleaner, safer walking experience for students at Urban Discovery School.

Want to get involved? Join us on Nov. 13 as we explore the Marina neighborhood, connect with the community, and identify opportunities to make Downtown an even better place to live, work, and visit!

Who says giving back can’t be fun? 🌟

Our latest Clean & Safe volunteer event was all about coming together to give back, connect with fellow community members, and make a difference. With a scavenger hunt, coloring pages, and crayons for our youngest volunteers, there was something for everyone to enjoy! 🙌

Big shoutout to our member Words Alive for generously donating books for readers of all ages to take home.

Want to join the fun? Mark your calendar for Dec. 19 at Tweet Street Park! 🔗 Link in bio.

A little extra effort can make a big difference. 💙

Our 2nd shift trash truck driver, Elijah, recently received a shoutout from a Columbia resident for his dedication to making Downtown cleaner. While heading to change a trash bin, Elijah noticed additional trash on the sidewalk and stopped to pick it up along the way.

For Elijah, it’s all part of taking pride in his work and caring for the Downtown community. ✨🏙️

Betsy Brennan from the Downtown San Diego Partnership visited our club on September 30! 🏙️✨

Betsy shared some incredibly exciting updates on the horizon, including the planned Arts and Design district, a proposed revamp of Civic Center Plaza, and TED Talks moving to the Convention Center in 2027—complete with large screens broadcasting the world-class speakers all over downtown! 🎨🎤

We are incredibly proud of our club's local impact, too. Betsy gave a special shoutout to the Downtown San Diego Rotary for funding new tamperproof trash cans to keep our streets beautiful, and one of our members highlighted just how effective the Clean and Safe App has been in getting neighborhood issues addressed promptly. 🗑️📱🤝

Here's to a brighter, cleaner, and more vibrant Downtown San Diego!
