A Vigil of Mourning and Solidarity for the People of Iran

An evening of candlelight vigil with reflective music, offering a space for presence, unity, and solidarity with the people of Iran.

Association of Iranian American Professionals, Persian Cultural Center, and House of Iran invite the community to a candlelight vigil in solidarity with the people of Iran.

A candlelight vigil will be held in solidarity with the people of Iran, who are enduring some of the most brutal and darkest days of suffering.

The gathering will include reflective music and offers a shared space for presence, unity, and mourning as the community comes together to honor the lives lost, stand with families and loved ones in grief, and express collective compassion during this time of profound pain.

Dr. Jamshid Maramkhah is a musicologist who is born and raised in Iran and immigrated to US in 2014. He studied music at Tehran University with emphasis on ethnomusicology. He plays numerous folks wind instruments from various part of Iran.
