The bond between an orangutan mother and her baby is possibly the strongest in the animal kingdom. They are nearly inseparable for the first ten years. And recent research shows that orangutans have autobiographical, long-lasting memories like humans. What are the implications? See our latest video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbaizI5aiIU

Much of the illegal wildlife trade is now online and unregulated and U.S. demand for it is rising. Traffickers are increasingly using social media platforms to sell illegal species and products (like this sea turtle skin boot). If you suspect that wildlife trafficking is occurring (whether online or not), you can report it to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service by calling the Tip Line at 1-844-397-8477.

Please donate any amount and help us in conjunction with OFI provide forest patrols to safeguard the orangutans and their ecosystem. Let’s keep the focus on the malevolent force that has wiped out 52 percent of the world’s wildlife in the past 40 years fueled by relentless consumer demand for wildlife and wildlife parts. “Ironically, the United States alone accounted for the largest importers of wildlife. The United States mostly prefers decoration activities from wildlife products, and their demands on it are rapidly increasing day by day.” Read article: https://earthandhuman.org/worldwide-illegal-wildlife-trade/
