Event Description Join Supervisor Paloma Aguirre and community members for a casual Meet & Greet in Spring Valley. This intimate gathering is an opportunity to connect, share your thoughts, ask questions, and learn more about the work being done in District 1. We’ll discuss community priorities and current County efforts, and hear directly from attendees about the issues that matter most to them. This is a welcoming space to build relationships, strengthen partnerships, and foster collaboration within our community.

WHAT IS THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY IN SPRING VALLEY?

We want to hear from you! The County of San Diego Planning & Development Services (PDS) invites you to attend a public meeting to discuss Spring Valley Mobility Options Via Efficient Solutions (MOVES)- part of the County’s Community Based Transportation Program.

Spring Valley MOVES intends to bring Spring Valley residents, community organizations, and County staff together to identify transportation challenges and needs in the local community. The Spring Valley MOVES plan will serve as a visioning document designed to enhance transportation options and accessibility within the Spring Valley focus area to improve mobility, safety, and connectivity for all types of transportation. In this meeting we will discuss project goals and objectives, existing conditions, and potential mobility improvements and programs to respond to your needs.

PDS is hosting this in-person, public meeting to receive your input on January 29th, 2025 at 6 pm.

Volunteers Needed!
Turkey Giveaway Event
We will need a large volunteer effort to prep the distribution event starting at 6am and must be completed by 9am. Due to terrain challenges at the event location, the food bank will drop off all of the food items and then we will need volunteers to transport all of the boxed items unto the field where the distribution will take place. You must be able to lift 15-20lbs. If you are interested, please sign up to volunteer for the first shift between 6am and 9am and you will receive more details.

Event Tips:

Parking is extremely limited and you may need to find street parking before joining line.
​Consider getting dropped off and picked up.
Be prepared to stand in line for a long time.
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
Bring umbrella for shade and water for hydration.
Bring a cart to carry turkey and food items, they will be heavy.
