Dear TKF Community,

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we share the sudden passing of Tony Hicks, a deeply loved member of the TKF family.
Tony’s life was a powerful testament to courage, accountability, healing, and transformation. Through his presence, his honesty, and his commitment to serving others, he touched the lives of countless students, educators, families, and communities here in San Diego and across the country. His voice and his personal journey helped others see the humanity in each other, and led them to believe in the greater possibility of healing, forgiveness and change.
For those of us who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside Tony, this loss is deeply personal. Tony was not only our colleague, but also our family, our friend, our teacher, and an integral part of the heart and history of TKF.

We ask that everyone please respect the privacy of Tony’s family and loved ones as they navigate this extremely difficult time of unimaginable loss.

Meantime, we invite you to share your personal messages of love, memories, photographs, and reflections in celebration of his impactful life. We have created a condolence board where members of our greater community can share how Tony’s life impacted you. These messages will be shared with his family. Condolence Board https://www.kudoboard.com/boards/6f8vgSZP
At a later date, we will also share plans to collectively honor Tony’s life and legacy. For now, we ask that you hold his family, his loved ones, and the entire TKF community within your heart.

Tony’s life mattered. His work mattered. His legacy of accountability, healing, forgiveness, and hope will remain with us always.

With deep sorrow and love,
TKF Family
