We had SO MUCH fun at this year’s Youth Winter Hat League! More kids than ever before participated in winter hat league, including 14 players who tried Ultimate for the very first time!

Calling all Girl Scouts!

Join us 2:30-4:30 pm on April 26th for a Girl Scouts-only ultimate frisbee clinic at Mission Valley River Park! Participants will earn a girl scouts patch, satisfy nearly all the requirements for a girl scouts badge (created by amazing Girl Scouts in Virginia), and learn how to play ultimate frisbee from some amazing volunteer coaches!

Join us for the annual Seaside Showdown tournament on April 19th. 11 am - 4 pm, on the beach in Coronado!

We will have a U20 and a U15 division.
U20 - High school players (under 20 years old on April 19th) are encouraged to register together as a team or pod of players for this 4v4 tournament. We will form teams based on skill level, doing our best to keep friends together.

U15 - Players in middle school or below (under 15 years old on April 19th) should register in this division (but advanced players are also allowed to play up in the U20 division if they prefer). Sign up as an individual player (or sign up with a friend) and you will be placed on a team with other awesome U15 players. We'll work to make sure you and your friends are on the same team.

We had such an amazing first day of Youth Winter Hat League, with one of our best turn-outs ever! Check out some of our favorite photos of the beginner/intermediate games.

Thank you to all of the players for coming out and playing hard! We're taking a break this Sunday for the March Madness youth tourament, but we'll be back at Ashley Falls for our second day of league on March 8th.

Youth Winter Hat League starts NEXT WEEK! Register now! https://sandiegoultimate.org/e/youth-winter-hat-league-2026

Join us 2-4 pm on Sundays February 22nd-March 29th at Ashley Falls Park in Carmel Valley.

Each weekly session will start with fun skill-building drills and then we'll spend most of our time playing games and maximizing FUN! You kids will make new friends and work with some amazing coaches!

This league is open to all 5th-12th grade boys and girls. Each week, there will be multiple games going in parallel to accommodate varied ages and skill levels. ALL LEVELS (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) are welcome and encouraged to join! For those that are placed in the advanced scrimmage each week, there will be the opportunity to grow their skills and knowledge of the game by playing full field 7v7 format. Coaches are excited to teach them about advanced strategies only used in that format.

NOTE: It's OK to miss any weeks that conflict with your child's other plans. We certainly understand and know how to handle this. We create balanced teams each week based on who is there.
