At the recent SB City Arts Advocacy Community meeting, we discussed several important steps to advance the creative community and develop economic solutions that support a sustainable ecosystem for creatives in our city.
Here are the key points from the meeting:
- We reviewed the outcomes of our February meeting and discussed a list of five priorities that you helped identify.
- We outlined three specific requests based on these priorities and explored how we can collectively work to achieve them.
- We shared a calendar of important dates related to civic engagement throughout the city and related to arts advocacy.
- You suggested that we add three solutions to our requests for city council to help the city recognize potential opportunities.
- You also provided feedback on essential aspects of our requests, emphasizing the need to develop content that highlights both the potential and the necessity of these initiatives.
The meeting was very productive, and we are grateful for your participation. If you are interested in contributing to the growth of the local creative economy, please contact us. Join us in our efforts to uplift our city and work towards a better future.
We will soon post details from the meeting on our website, including links to all the information discussed. These efforts are community-led, and we appreciate your time and involvement. Thank you for your continued support. We value and appreciate you!
