The National Police Bloodhound Association is the oldest organization of its kind. NPBA offers training both in the field as well as in the classroom.

The NPBA provides professional services to law enforcement agencies worldwide, specializing in the training and methodology of using the Bloodhound in man-trailing efforts. Law Enforcement officers from across the country and around the world turn to the NPBA for their long-standing dedication to the advancement of Bloodhounds for mantrailing. NPBA Trainers combine years of experience in the field to train new, and veteran, handlers and their K-9 partners. In the classroom, officers are kept up-to-date on case law, expert testimony in the courtroom, exposure to technology & equipment and advise from Veterinarians for the best care of their partners.

New York State Police
Please join us in congratulating Trooper Kevin P. Conners of Troop D on receiving a Superintendent’s Letter of Commendation for his dedication and perseverance during a missing person investigation.

In the weeks following an extensive search near Chittenango Falls State Park, Trooper Conners continued reviewing information and identifying areas that warranted another look. His careful analysis, knowledge of the terrain, and search experience ultimately led him to locate the missing individual, bringing answers to a grieving family.

As a bloodhound handler, Trooper Conners understands the importance of every missing person search. His commitment reflects the care and determination our members bring to serving others.

Thank you, Trooper Conners, for your dedication to this family and the community.

Kevin Connors is an instructor for the National Police Bloodhound Association and we congratulate him on his success.

Every NPBA seminar sends handlers home stronger. 🐾

The NPBA 40 Hour Man-Trailing Seminar and Certification is
8 hours of classroom instruction and 32 hours of extensive field training. Bloodhound teams learn from expert trainers in real-world trailing scenarios, earn certification, and strengthen K9 capabilities that handlers take back to their own departments and communities.

Our members volunteer their time, and our instructors travel the country to help teams improve. If you can't join us on the trail, you can still be part of the mission.

"That's a wrap on South Carolina! Thank you to every attendee, instructor, volunteer, admin, and our incredible host agency for making this seminar possible. Grateful for this community."

🐾☀️ Greenville, SC, you showed UP for us! Gorgeous views, perfect weather, and blue skies like somebody dialed it in just for our teams.
The setting may be beautiful, but this week has been all work.

Our Handlers and their K9s have put in long, grueling days: running trail after trail, working through tough terrain and the afternoon heat, and pushing through when legs are tired and noses are still working. They show up ready every single day, and it shows. 🐕‍🦺💪

Thank you, trainers and administrators, for everything you pour into this work, and thank you, Greenville, for being the perfect host! 💙

Safe travels to our handlers, instructors, and Bloodhounds making their way home.

How NPBA Seminars Strengthen Handlers and their K9 Capabilities

Handlers leave with real confidence and an understanding of how to read and work their dogs. That confidence leads to faster, more reliable searches and to better outcomes for families when every minute counts.
Because NPBA holds seminars in Oklahoma, South Carolina, Maryland, Florida, and California, the training reaches departments across the country.

When someone goes missing, every minute counts. NPBA seminars train and certify bloodhound teams who bring that skill home to their communities. 🐾 Donate: npba.com
