The sisterhood of Kappa Delta at CSUSB demonstrated remarkable dedication, energy, and purpose throughout Nautilus Week.

From creative skits and engaging activities, to a community 5K and other fundraising efforts, each event helped raise awareness and support for children

Their commitment to service, teamwork, and philanthropy was evident every step of the way. It is so inspiring to see the next generation demonstrate such generosity and selflessness. Thank you all for investing your time and talents in a cause that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of local children.

A backpack is more than a school supply; it’s a child’s first step into a successful school year.

From June 15 through August 14, we're collecting new backpacks filled with essential school supplies for local students who need them most. Gather your family, workplace, church, club, or community group and help us send children back to school ready to learn and thrive.

Not able to shop? Monetary donations are always welcome and help us provide backpacks and supplies where they are needed most.

And while our annual drive runs through August 14, the need never truly ends. We accept backpack and school supply donations year-round to support students throughout the school year.

What an unforgettable day celebrating the West End Auxiliary of Children's Fund Installation Luncheon & check presentation!

This year, the West End Auxiliary proudly presented the largest gift donation to the Children's Fund since its inception in 1956, a milestone that represents far more than dollars raised. It reflects countless volunteer hours, unwavering dedication, and the love and passion its members poured into supporting children and at-risk youth throughout our community.

Today was a beautiful reminder of what is possible when compassionate people come together with a shared purpose. Every event, every fundraiser, and every act of service helped create hope and opportunity for the youth and families we serve.

Thank you to the incredible members, volunteers, supporters, and community partners for making this historic moment possible. Together, we continue to change lives and build brighter futures.

There are moments when “thank you” simply doesn’t feel big enough!

Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude and excitement for this amazing gift and incredible show of support. We are beyond thankful for the generosity, kindness, and belief in the work we do each and every day.

Thank you for believing in the mission, in the work, and in our community. The support from Bonnes Meres is a beautiful reminder of what is possible when people come together with servant hearts and a shared passion for making a difference.

We want to give a big shout-out to all of the amazing and determined students who received scholarships at this year's Shine A Light breakfast. Students took home prizes from the A. Gary Anderson Scholarship, the IEHP Heart Award, and the Children Deserve Success Scholarship totaling 50 awarded scholarships to these deserving students.

We would also like to highlight our Programs Director, Betty Chambers, who was recognized for the impassioned work that she has done for Children's Fund.

Recently, the Ken Hubbs Little League celebrated their 75th Anniversary. 10 teams gathered at the field in front of over 100 spectators, ready to play the game they love so much.

At Children’s Fund, we understand the impact and importance that sports can have in the life and development of a child. But many students are not always afforded the opportunity to participate. Our President & CEO, Cesar Navarrete had this to say:

“As a child, I never had the opportunity to play Little League,” Cesar said. “Not because I didn’t want to. Believe me, I was a little kid putting my hands through those fences, watching all the kids play. But I knew I couldn’t go home and ask my mom and dad for money to play Little League.

I couldn’t get the cleats. I couldn’t get the ball. I couldn’t get the glove. So for me, this is a huge and exciting moment. The reason I do what I do is because I want to make sure that all of our kids in the community have the opportunities that I didn’t have.”

Sadly, this is the story for many kids and families, forced to either sit on the sidelines or scrape together what they can just to be able to play. That is why we chose to provide this league and all its players with a $26,000 check, covering registration fees for every player. We are so excited for the players and parents to be able to enjoy the season without this financial worry and wish the best for each of them out on the field.

This year, through a partnership with our San Bernardino County Public Defender, San Bernardino County Probation Department, and the San Bernardino County Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council, we have sponsored over 300 children with recreational and extracurricular scholarships.
