Thank you for reaching out with your request. Two days ago, the family of Botham Jean lovingly remembered their son and brother and celebrated his life on his birthday.
Today, it has been reported that Amber Guyger will be paroled to serve the remainder of her sentence under supervision.
The family of Botham Jean is requesting privacy at this time, as they process these developments and continue to process.
To all of the many well-wishers who have continued to say Botham’s name and carry his memory, they wish to give their thanks for the continuing support.

We miss your smile, your laughter, your kindness, and the joy you brought into every room. Your life was far too short, but your impact continues to live on through the people who love you and the legacy you left behind.

Botham’s life was so much greater than the tragedy of his death. He was a beloved son, brother, friend, servant of God, and a light to everyone who knew him.

Eight years later, we remember Botham not by how he died, but by how he lived.

💙✨ Today we celebrate Botham’s 34th Heavenly Birthday. Not a day goes by that we don’t think of you, Bo. We miss your laughter, your hugs, your voice singing through the house, and the way you lit up every room you walked into.
