New exhibit alert! 🌊

We’re excited to share a new installation at MSP Terminal 1, Gallery C6, on view now – April 27, 2027.

"Our Connection with Water", a series of paintings by artist Wenwen Liao, explores the powerful ties between memory, place, and the natural world. Drawing from her childhood by the sea in China and her life today in Minnesota, Liao uses water as both subject and metaphor, reflecting movement, change, and the deep cultural and environmental relationships Minnesotans share with the state’s lakes and waterways.

Created on rice paper with traditional Chinese pigments and ink, the works blend classical techniques with a bold, contemporary approach. Layered color, expressive brushwork, and open, curious figures evoke moments of childhood wonder that resonate across cultures.

Fluid, reflective, and ever‑changing, "Our Connection with Water" invites viewers to consider their own relationship to place, memory, and the natural world.

We welcome you to stop by and experience this beautiful new exhibit next time you are traveling.

A new exhibit is now on display at the C1 Gallery in Terminal 1! 🪻🍁🌿

"Beading the Wildflowers of Minnesota" by Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe artist Alicia De La Cruz features 16 hand‑embroidered beaded pins representing native Minnesota wildflowers and their cultural significance to Ojibwe peoples.

Created during an arts residency at the Bell Museum, Alicia studied plant specimens from the University of Minnesota Herbarium to craft true‑to‑life representations. The works are arranged as an evolutionary “tree of life” from ancient species like White Pine to more recently evolved flowers.

On view now – April 27, 2027.

We invite you to stop by and experience this beautiful celebration of art, culture, and ecology.

Now on display in Terminal 2 near Gate H11 is "Wings and Wildlife" by Laura Ruprecht! 😁

This exhibit formed of stained‑glass mosaics celebrates Minnesota’s endangered birds and natural heritage, reflecting Laura's broader work as an award‑winning artist, educator, and community collaborator. Ruprecht describes her mosaic practice as a metaphor for resilience, using hand‑cut glass fragments to explore themes of fragility, strength, adaptation, and healing. Inspired by animals and nature, she invites viewers to see beauty emerging from brokenness and to recognize how individual experiences, like pieces of glass, can form something whole and meaningful.
