MILITARY FAMILY REGISTRATION FEES TO BE WAIVED!

Scouting America is committed to expanding access to Scouting for military-connected youth. Effective June 1, 2026, Scuting America is waiving the $85.00 national youth registration fee for eligible military families through a verification and code process during online registration.

All youth in current Active Military Duty, Reserve and National Guard families are eligible. This applies to both new and renewing online registrations ONLY. Funding is provided nationally through philanthropic efforts.

HOW IT WORKS --
o When applying ONLINE only.
o Select "Get Military Discount Code"
o Complete the verification process.
o Receive code.
o Enter code at checkout.
o National fee is reduced to $0.

This waiver applies only to the national fee. Local Council, Unit, optional add-ons e.g Scout Life Magazine and processing fees may still apply.

June 12, 2026, Wade Stadium, Duluth, MN

REGISTRATION CLOSES TODAY!!! Join us for Duluth Huskies Scout Night as the Huskies take the field against the Minot Hot Tots on Friday, June 12. Gates open at 5:30 PM, with the first pitch at 6:35 PM at Wade Stadium, 101 North 35th Avenue West in Duluth!

Get ready for a grand slam of Scouting fun at the ballpark! From cheering in the stands to camping under the atars, this is more than just a game -- it's an adventure! Don't miss your chance to be a part of the action with the Duluth Huskies! There are drawings for special on-field opportunities, like Fast Pitch, Baseball Buddies, "Let's Play Ball" Announcer, "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" song leaders, and fun games betweeen innings!

COST is $25.00 per person. Admission includes a game ticket, hot dog, chips and a drink, pictures with mascot Harley D. Husky, a movie after the game, overnight camping on the outfield, and Saturday morning breakfast.

TROOP 477 MAY CAMPOUT FOCUSED ON PATROL ACTIVITIES!

Plymouth Troop 477 had a lot of fun at their May campout, a time where Patrols could design their own program and really got to know one another. Activities included board games, yard games, and a delicious cooking competition followed by a great campfire program.

TOTANHAN NAKAHA LODGE ONBOARDS NEW OFFICERS

On Thursday,May 28, Totanhan Nakaha Lodge onboarded the new 2026-2027 Lodge Officers. The Arrowmen were sworn into their new roles as well as assisted in their training by our outgoing officers. The evening was led by outing Secretary of Training and incoming Lodge Vice Chief, Grace J. New Lodge Advisor Wendy Marik was also swown in by outgoing Lodge Advisor Stu Smith.

In other business, Stu Smith and J. J. Werner were presented with the James E. West Fellowship Award.

Our congratulations to all the new officers, and we wish you the best of luck in your new roles.

DON'T MISS THE 2026 PUBLIC SAFETY MERIT BADGE DAY!
June 27, 2026, HERO Training Facility, Cottage Grove, MN

The Cottage Grove Department of Public Safety - Police, Fire/EMS and Emergency Management - in partnership with Northern star Council is excited to host a Public Safety Merit Badge Day at the HERO Training Facility, 10125 85th Street South in Cottage Grove on Saturday, June 27, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Scouts are invited to discover the world of public safety and learn from Police Officers, Firefighter/Paramedics and other Public Safety professionals.

Scouts have the opportunity to choose from over eight Public Safety related merit badges including Crime Prevention, Fire Safety, First Aid, Search and Rescue and more! At the end of the merit badge sessions, Scouts have the opportunity to observe a simulated emergency response.

SOME ADDED INFORMATION:
o Scouts should wear their Class A field uniforms to this event.
o All participants are required to complete Annual Health and Medical Record Parts A and B.
o Each Scout must bring a pre-filled merit badge card, and preferably a copy of the relevant merit badge workbook.
o Scouts should read the relevant merit badge pamphlet prior to the event.
o Some merit badges require prerequisite work - please note when selecting merit badges.
o Lunch will be provided at the event, or Scouts may bring their own bag lunch.
o Scouts attending without a Unit should have an adult chaperone on-site. Units attending should provide adult supeervision in line with Safe Scouting guidelines.

COST: $50.00 per youth; adult chaperones FREE.

Please join us as Scoutmaster Bucky Online presents the ART MERIT BADGE, to be held on Monday, June 23, 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM OR 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM.

Participation is open to all currently registered members of Scouts BSA. Class A field uniform is requested for all participating Scouts. This is an online class with certain prerequisites to participate. Scouts must have a PC or Laptop with a reliable high speed internet connection with web cam, speakers, and phone / microphone for voice. No Tablet or Mobile device connections allowed. Fee for Art is $15.00.
