This is what abundance looked like at Frogtown Farm today. 🌱

Fresh radishes pulled from the soil. Crates filled with tomatoes. Cucumbers gathered and ready for what comes next.

The harvest may be the part we can see, but behind every crate are hours of planting, tending, watering, harvesting, sorting, weighing, and preparing food to move from the Farm into the community.

We are grateful for every person whose hands help carry this work from seed to harvest.

This is what it means to grow food, support farmers, and nourish community together.

🌿 Pathways to Well-Being returned to Frogtown Farm this week for Session 3: Rooted in Healing. 🌿

Participants explored healing not as “fixing” something broken, but as restoring identity, purpose, rest, and connection. 💚 We learned about healing plants that are growing on the farm and talked about the practices that help us and our communities feel grounded.

🎨 Young people also transformed flowers, leaves, herbs, and produce from the farm into natural color through bundle dyeing and eco-printing. By arranging the plants on fabric and then stamping the patterns, they created one-of-a-kind pieces carrying the colors and impressions of the land. 🌼🍃

The experience reminded us that healing can take many forms: spending time in nature, making art, learning from ancestral plant knowledge, resting without an agenda, and creating in community. 🌱🧘🏾‍♀️✨

Pathways to Well-Being is a free program for young people ages 16–24, bringing together land, wellness, food, creativity, and community at Frogtown Farm. 🤝🏾🌻

Last Friday, Pathways to Well-Being stepped beyond the farm and into a different kind of growing space.

At BYHAC, participants toured the building, learned about its history, and took part in activities connecting wellness, food, and the land. Throughout the day, they:

* Made rice bags
* Practiced breathing techniques to help regulate the body
* Explored essential oils
* W**ded in the community garden
* Learned how to harvest and prune plants for healthier growth
* Identified signs of insects affecting plants
* Shared food grown from the land

The experience showed how caring for ourselves, the land, and our community can all be connected.

Thank you, IGF BYHAC for welcoming Pathways to Well-Being and creating space for young people to learn, connect, and experience something new.

Pathways continues this Thursday at Frogtown Farm! The program is free and open to young people ages 16–24.

🐛🌱 Learning to grow healthy crops starts with knowing what to look for.

This week, our Grower Incubation Program participants joined us for a hands-on W**d Management & Pest Scouting Workshop, where they learned how to identify common pests, recognize early signs of plant stress, and use sustainable management practices in the field.

From walking crop rows to sharing observations and asking questions, growers gained practical skills they can apply throughout the growing season.

A huge thank you to our partners from the MinnesotaExtension for sharing their expertise and helping strengthen our community of growers.

Every workshop is another step toward building resilient farms, stronger harvests, and a more connected local food system.

🌱 Growing knowledge. Growing community. Growing together.
