Tomorrow: Join the Conversation on Reimagining North Snelling
In light of the tragic bus crash at Hamline University this week, many neighbors are feeling again how urgent it is to talk about safety, mobility, and the future of North Snelling Avenue.
North Snelling is more than a state highway — it one our neighborhood busiest streets. It connects our homes, schools, businesses, bus stops, parks, and gathering places. It also reflects major challenges around pedestrian safety, public health, public safety, economic disinvestment, environmental sustainability, and community-centered development.
For the last year, neighbors on the HMC Transportation Committee has been working to reimagine what North Snelling can and should be.
Tomorrow night, neighbors are invited to join an open conversation about short-term safety improvements, long-term transformation, and what it will take to make Snelling safer, more walkable, more connected, and a better resource for the whole community.
Local elected officials and representatives from MnDOT have been invited to join the conversation as well.
