The February event finale was at W.D. Hartley Elementary School in St. Augustine. We were happy to get up early to serve coffee, tea, hot chocolate and pastries to fuel the fabulous faculty and staff at this school. We will be back! And can't wait to share what's on deck for the remainder of the spring semester. Stay tuned...

Recently HFE went to Crookshank Elementary School in St. Augustine, Fla. to serve an Italian lunch to the teachers and staff, followed up with scrumptious desserts. Thank you to these wonderful parents for helping HFE serve a festive Chinese New Year themed lunch to the incredible faculty and staff at this St. Augustine school. We learned that this lunar new year marks the beginning of the Year of the Fire Horse, a 15-day celebration focused on themes of speed, independence, and rapid change. Let's go!

How sweet it is! Check out part two of our Valentines 💌 double header: a candy bar at Gamble Rogers Middle School in St. Augustine, FL for their amazing teachers and staff. We had a blast chatting with them as they scooped up some treats for themselves and their loved ones at home. We can’t wait to come back again! Thanks to our volunteers for setting up, serving with a smile, and breaking it all down. Could not do this without our volunteers! Let’s keep lifting up St. Johns County educators through food and fellowship events.

We pulled off a double header to show our love for St. Johns County educators last week. Here’s a peek 👀 at our yummy 🍳🥞 breakfast 🧇 to fuel the teachers and staff at in St. Augustine. Thanks to our volunteers for getting up early to pick up the food, deliver it, set up, serve, and clean up. Couldn’t do this without you!!!! Also, thanks to Martine Smith, the Family Engagement, Retention, and Recruitment Specialist from St. Johns County Federal Programs, for lending a helping hand and a cheerful smile.

Last week, Lyn shared the story behind founding Hearts For Educators with the most incredible group of women in Ponte Vedra Beach. This group was eager to learn about volunteer opportunities through our organization and we are confident that you'll see many of these faces again helping out at future events. Thank you, ladies! So excited 😆 that did a good news story about our newly launched nonprofit organization. Here’s a pic of founder with two smiling HFE volunteers at our second event. Our events calendar is filling up fast and we need more volunteers to sign up to serve our wonderful teachers and educators in St. Johns County.

A former teacher has formed Hearts for Educators to support staff at St. Johns County Title I schools that serve many low-income students.
