SJC Fire Cadet Post 343

We are a 501(c)3 program dedicated to mentoring and preparing young adults for careers in fire rescue.

We accomplish this through immersive, hands-on training, leadership development, and guidance from active and retired fire professionals.

A huge thank you to Butta Popcorn for their donation of popcorn to the SJC Fire Cadet Post 343 fundraiser! The cadets are spending this weekend educating their community about Hands Only CPR and raising money for their upcoming summer competition!

The cadets are hanging out at Durbin Walmart this weekend teaching hands only CPR while raising money to send them to the Summer Gator Games! Come say hello!

A big thank you to Durbin Walmart for allowing us to fundraise in front of their store this weekend! Anyone living up that way, please share with friends and family and encourage them to come visit the hard working cadets!!

This week, we proudly celebrate our SJCFR Senior Fire Cadets — Demi, Braiden, Tristan, Addie, Colin, Zane, Haze, Bryce, and Kayleigh!
As you graduate from your respective high schools and step into the next chapter of your lives, we want you to know how proud we are of each of you. Watching you grow through this program has been an honor.
We hope your time with the cadets gave you more than just fire and EMS skills. We hope it taught you valuable life lessons, built confidence, inspired service, and created friendships that will last a lifetime.
No matter where life takes you next, always remember you will forever be part of our cadet family. Congratulations, Class of 2026! Your future is bright, and we cannot wait to see all that you accomplish!

Saturday we had a great day assisting the United Way with their Stamp Out Hunger campaign. We started with some sunshine and ended with some liquid sunshine! Through it all, there were smiles and laughs! We appreciate the opportunity to SERVE our community!

A big THANK YOU to Emergency Management Deputy Director, Kelly Wilson for teaching the cadets all about the SJC Emergency Operations Center (EOC) tonight! She even gave them a personalized tour of the building sharing what happens during an EOC activation! Another big thank you to National Weather Service meteorologist, Ben Nelson for teaching the Skywarn class to our cadets tonight. The EOC tour and Skywarn class are two of several requirements for Cadets to earn the prestigious Emergency Preparedness Award!
