Andy Johns and StoryConnect marketing conference coming up March 10-13 at the Embassy Suites on the beach in St. Augustine.
I’m running a game-show style panel at 9:45 a.m. on March 12 called “No Cap: A Gen Z and Gen Alpha Game Show.” The goal is to have four panelists in their 20s share insights into how companies can communicate with and market to them. It’s a 45-minute session and to keep it exciting, we’ve packaged it as a game show with buzzers and a Jeopardy board slide deck.
Our StoryConnect conference has about 100 attendees from the rural broadband and electric utilities around the country. Here’s a link to the conference page: https://www.pioneerutilityresources.com/inspiration/storyconnect-conference/
And here’s a link to who I am so I’m not a total stranger from the internet: https://www.pioneerutilityresources.com/staff-directory/andy-johns/
Participants will receive a $50 REI gift card and a handy Generation Slang translator tool 😊 They don’t need to know anything in particular about electricity or broadband, they just need to be comfortable on stage in front of an audience. The questions will be things like:
• Which social media platforms do you spend the most time on?
• When’s the last time you watched all the way through an ad on YouTube?
• Do you subscribe to any news services, podcasts or media outlets?
• Are there any email newsletters or marketing emails that you read regularly?
• What are some of your favorite brands and why?
Each of the questions will be written with plenty of rizz using Gen Z slang to make it fun for everyone. I’ve done panels like this more than a dozen times and I always make sure the panelists have a good time and that no one feels intimidated or made fun of.
We’ve got a few weeks to go before the session so if you’ll let me know if any students come to mind, I would love the help. Thank you for your consideration!
