Catholic Charities St. Augustine Regional Office - Serving St. Catholic Charities has shared in the mission and traditions of the Catholic Church in St.

Johns, Putnam, and Flagler counties with Homeless Prevention Rapid Re-housing, Emergency Financial and Food Program, Senior Services and Weekend Hunger Backpack Program. Augustine since 1944. The area was originally served by staff from the Jacksonville Regional office. The first office in St. Augustine was opened in December of 1975 by Fr. O'Flaherty. The office was housed at San Sebastian Catholic Church. Today, the Catholic Charities network has four regional offices located in Gainesville, Jacksonville, Lake City and St. Augustine. Although the services may vary from site to site, the goal of our programs in each office and satellite location is to respond to the unique needs in the communities we serve. It is our Catholic identity and Catholic Social Teaching that calls upon us to see Jesus in the face of the poor. Catholic Charities could not be responsive to our communities without the work of our staff, volunteers and board of directors, and the support we receive from the diocese, our donors and funders. Together, we are living our responsibility to love our neighbor as we love ourselves (Mark 12:31). We are incredibly grateful to Baptist Health Jacksonville for their generous strategic investment in our ongoing community outreach programs.

Because of the support of caring community partners like Baptist Health Jacksonville, Catholic Charities St. Augustine was able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors last year:

🍎 395,4785 pounds of food distributed to more than 25,000 individuals from our food pantry.
🏠 $407,152 in emergency aid was provided to families for housing and utilities.
🥗 Nutritious food provided each month to 294 students and homebound seniors through our Outreach Programs
❤️ 2,112 individuals received food and gifts through our Hope for the Holidays Thanksgiving & Christmas Programs.

These accomplishments would not be possible without the generosity and partnership of local businesses, organizations, individual donors and volunteers who believe in helping our community’s most vulnerable.
