Family Support Services

Eckerd Connects' Family Support Services provides case management and financial assistance to families and individuals who have an identified history of substance misuse and are currently experiencing homelessness or are at imminent risk of homelessness.

Last month, Eckerd Connects' Family Services Parenting Education Program (PEP) held a graduation ceremony to honor four remarkable parents who successfully completed nine weeks of dedicated participation in our program. Their commitment, perseverance, and active engagement throughout the course were truly commendable. We sincerely appreciate their trust and determination to strengthen their families through learning and personal growth. We sincerely thank The Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida for their generous donation of books. This contribution is vital as it empowers parents to engage with their children in meaningful ways.

Today, our Eckerd Connects' Family Services Parenting Education Program Supervisor, Diana, had the pleasure of participating in a Resource Fair hosted by Recovery Connections of Central Florida!

It was a great opportunity to connect with several sober living homes, strengthen relationships with organizations we already partner with, and meet other community partners who share our commitment to supporting individuals on their recovery journey.
Building connections and working together is what makes our community stronger! ❤️

And, of course, we had a little Halloween fun with two of the Recovery Connections team members who came dressed for the occasion! 🎃👻

🌟 Yesterday was a day of inspiration and connection at the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce's Lunch with Leaders event! Our amazing Supervisor, Sheryl Edwards, had the privilege of engaging with visionary minds and sharing the mission of our Supportive Supervised Visitation Program. From insightful conversations with community leader Jeff Feasel, to an exciting helipad tour, every moment was a reminder of the power of collaboration and community spirit. Together, we can create a brighter future for families! 💪✨

This month, we celebrate I’Yanna, a remarkable mother who faced unimaginable challenges while caring for her young children. After being forced out of her home due to mold and mildew, I’Yanna showed incredible strength by seeking help through the Eckerd Connects' Family Services Rapid Rehousing Program. Despite sleeping in her vehicle and juggling work and parenting, she never lost sight of her goal. Earlier this month, she finally moved into a stable home, bringing her family the comfort and security they deserve! 🏡💖 Let this story inspire us all to keep pushing forward, no matter the obstacles. Together, we can create brighter futures! 💪🌈
