Space Coast Honor Flight will host its 87th Honor Flight Saturday, May 16, from Orlando International Airport (MLB).

*YOU are invited to support our Veterans during the Welcome Home Celebration.

The May flight marks the second of five planned Honor Flights for 2026.

What Is Scheduled for Flight Day?

Veterans will arrive at 4 a.m. The Send-Off Ceremony will begin at 4:30 a.m.

***The Welcome Home Celebration will begin at 8:30 p.m.***

We expect the to arrive at 9:30 p.m.

The flight will include 50 Veterans.

The group includes one Korean War Veteran, 39 Vietnam War Veterans and 10 post-Vietnam Veterans.

Each Veteran will travel with a guardian es**rt.

The Veterans represent the following service affiliations:

U.S. Air Force: 12
U.S. Army: 18
U.S. Navy: 8
U.S. Marine Corps: 5
U.S. Air Force/Air National Guard: 1
U.S. Army/U.S. Air Force: 1
U.S. Army Reserve: 3
U.S. Coast Guard: 1
U.S. Air Force/U.S. Air Force Reserve: 1

*How Can the YOU Participate?

The public is invited to "Welcome Home" the Veterans at the airport.

Again, the Welcome Home Celebration will begin at 8:30 p.m., Saturday, May 16. Bring your Red, White, and Blue American pride.

493 American flags will stand in remembrance of 493 lives — each representing a story, a sacrifice, and a hero who will never be forgotten.

This veteran-led ceremony will include reflections, a flag remembrance, and a moment of silence as we come together as a community to honor and remember.

🤝 In partnership with the City of Palm Bay

This event is free and open to the public.

38th Annual All Veterans Reunion at Wickham Park, Melbourne FL

This is the biggest event all year that celebrates us, our sacrifices, and the sacrifices and memories of those we stood shoulder to shoulder with. It could have just as easily been our names etched upon those memorials, and we'd want others to keep our memory alive. Let's honor them with the respect they deserve and show up this week.

We just wrapped up our monthly meeting, and the energy was high. While we handle the "business" of the chapter, our focus remains exactly where it belongs: Vets Helping Vets.

​What’s on the Horizon:
​Florida All Veterans Reunion: We spent a good deal of time today planning for the 38th Annual Reunion at Wickham Park (May 3–11). This is one of the largest veteran events in the country, and we’ll be out there in force. From the es**rt on May 3rd to honoring those on the Wall, it’s a powerful week, mark your calendars.

April is the Month of the Military Child, and March is time to honor our Vietnam Veterans – come out and support BOTH of these great events in Brevard County!

🇺🇸 Heroes for Military Kids 5K Motorcycle Run
Let the kids see the bikes and ride to support our military kids!

• Date: Saturday, April 11
• Location: The Avenue Viera, 2261 Town Center Ave, Viera, FL
• Line up: 10:30 am
• Kickstands up: 11:00 am
• Registration: $20 per rider / $10 per passenger
• Includes commemorative dog tag and group photo with the kids
