🎉 BIG NEWS! 🎉

We are beyond excited to announce that GiGi’s Playhouse Rochester has been accepted to participate in the GiGi U Core Pilot Program this September! 💙💛

GiGi U has been a part of our Playhouse for the past three years, and we are so excited to take this next step by introducing and piloting a brand-new GiGi U curriculum this fall!

Being part of a pilot program means our GiGi U participants will have the opportunity to experience this new curriculum while helping shape the future of the program. Through their experiences, feedback, and participation, we’ll be able to share what works, what can be improved, and what could make the program even stronger for future participants across the GiGi’s Playhouse network. 🥰

We are so proud to be part of this exciting next chapter of GiGi U and can’t wait to see where this new curriculum takes us!

Here’s to learning, growing, building skills, and creating new opportunities together! 💙💛

🍂 FALL REGISTRATION IS OPEN! 🍂

The wait is finally over! We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to get our Fall Program Calendar ready, and it’s officially LIVE! 🎉

Now is the time to check out all the amazing programs happening this fall and get registered. 💙💛

📌 A quick registration reminder: Some of our programs, including GiGiFIT, STEM Kids, and our Kitchen programs, are enrollment-based. This means you’ll need to complete an enrollment form in order to participate. You can find the enrollment form links right in the calendar shift descriptions for those programs!

⚠️ Some programs have limited enrollment, so don’t wait to register! Be sure to check out the calendar, find the programs that are right for you, and get your registration completed as soon as possible.

Registering for programs is so important because it helps us make sure we have the right space, materials, instructors, and support ready for everyone who walks through our doors. Most importantly, it helps YOU get connected with the programs, friendships, learning, and fun you’re looking forward to! 🥳

🌟 VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: MARIANA & AUSTIN! 🌟

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on two amazing members of our GiGi’s Playhouse Rochester volunteer family, Mariana and Austin! 💙💛

Their journey with the Playhouse started by supporting two of our incredible participants, Caroline and Kurtis, but it quickly grew into a passion for getting involved and giving back to our community. 🥰

Today, you can often find Mariana and Austin at our Achievers program, where they bring Caroline and Kurtis each week and jump in wherever they are needed. From arriving early to help with setup to stepping in to lead when needed, they are always willing to lend a hand and help make the program a success! 🙌

Their kindness, flexibility, and positive attitudes make them such an important part of our volunteer team. We are so grateful for everything they bring to the Playhouse each week! 💙

Can’t make it Friday? No problem! Everything will be brought to Total Sports Experience and will be available when you check in on Sunday. Check in is at 9:30 AM

Last Friday was a busy and beautiful day at the Playhouse! 💙

We started the morning with LMNOP, where our youngest crew had a blast learning all about COLORS! 🌈 And seriously… is this not the cutest crew?!

Then we wrapped up the day with our Adult Fantastic Friends group for a camp-themed night filled with s’mores, crafts, friendship bracelets, and lots of fun! 🔥🏕️

We love watching friendships grow at GiGi’s Playhouse Rochester, from our littlest participants learning and playing together to our adults creating lasting memories and connections. There’s something so special about seeing our Playhouse community grow together at every age. 💙

A huge thank you to the Rochester NY Women’s Golf Network for supporting GiGi’s Playhouse Rochester and hosting a golf tournament in our honor! We are so grateful for your generosity and for helping us continue to provide purposeful programs, resources, and opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome. We can’t wait to see everyone out on the course! 💙💛

🍝 Pasta & Pie at GiGi’s! 🥧

Our adults had a delicious and productive time in the kitchen on Tuesday! They chopped fresh, colorful ingredients like tomatoes, spinach, and garlic, then worked together to make their own pasta dish from scratch. It’s so amazing to see how much confidence and independence they’re building with their kitchen skills!

And of course, no cooking class is complete without dessert! We finished the night with mini apple and cherry pies. A little cooking, a little learning, and a whole lot of fun! ❤️
