We are dedicated to supporting foster children and families and helping to find homes for children awaiting adoption. (formerly Children Awaiting Parents) is a national, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that since 1972 has been dedicated to finding adoptive homes for America's waiting children. Our mission is to recruit foster and adoptive families across the United States for children who have been waiting the longest for a family. Our waiting children are often older, sibling groups who wish to be placed together, or children typically categorized as "special needs" or "hardest to place." Corbett Adoption Agency (CAA) are the latest addition to the services we offer. We recruit, train, and provide support services in NYS for children waiting to be adopted and families waiting to adopt them. Kin caregivers face unique challenges. Unlike parents, they don’t have automatic legal rights - and they often step in unexpectedly, during a crisis, to raise a child they didn’t plan for. 👩‍👧‍👦
