Girls Rock! Pride Rock Rochester is sending all the love to our friends at Girls Rock! Indianapolis as they kick off another incredible camp week!

As proud members of the Girls Rock Camp Alliance, we’re part of a global movement of organizations using music as a tool for empowerment, confidence, creativity, and community. Together, we’re working to change the soundscape by creating spaces where girls, trans, and LGBTQIA+ youth can discover their voices, take up space, and shape the future of music.

Today we’re launching a game of **Virtual GRCA Tag** to celebrate our sibling organizations around the world as they pour their hearts into camp season. To every volunteer, staff member, mentor, and camper: we see you, we believe in your work, and we’re cheering you on every step of the way.

Girls Rock! Indianapolis... TAG, YOU’RE IT! Keep the love moving by tagging another Girls Rock Camp Alliance organization and sending them some encouragement as they continue changing lives through the power of music and community.

When we create a safe space where every voice is welcome, we remind one another that hard emotions are not something to hide or be ashamed of—they’re part of being human. A scream becomes more than a sound; It becomes an act of courage. An act of trust. A declaration that our feelings deserve to be heard, even if they cannot be put into words.

Community isn’t built only through laughter and celebration. It’s built when we hold space for vulnerability, we remind one another that no one has to carry life’s hardest moments alone.

⚡️ Yesterday at our Jumpstart Camp we learned that superpowers aren’t just things of fiction like teleportation or invisibility, they are characteristic we all already have!

🎸 We got to hear from Emily Livelle —an incredible musician who’s helping out at camp this year, about challenges, obstacles, and overcoming
adversity.

🎤 She performed for us during lunch time and shared about how her blindness has helped shape her as both a person and a musician
